The College of Teacher Education conducted an outreach program at Parroquia de la Medalla Milagrosa in the Parish of Manukan, held in meaningful alignment with the final day of Flores de Mayo. It was a day marked by faith, tradition, and a shared expression of compassion for the children of the community.
The activity was made possible through the collective effort of the College of Teacher Education students, especially those who were sanctioned due to absences in institutional activities. With the guidance of the Associate Dean of the Student Affairs and Services, Professor Ivo Mathew Siaton, granted permission for the conduct of the outreach program and helped identify the venue in Manukan, their sanctions were thoughtfully redirected into a purposeful contribution โ becoming school supplies for the outreach program. Without their cooperation and willingness to take part in this responsibility, this initiative would not have come to life in its entirety. For this, we extend our sincere gratitude. ๐
The children of Manukan welcomed us with the purest form of joy. The warmth of their presence reminded us of the innocence and hope that continue to inspire the calling of every future educator. Equally unforgettable was the hospitality of the community. We were received with kindness and openness, as if we were part of their own. To the people of Manukan, our deepest appreciation for making us feel welcome and valued throughout the encounter.
As future educators, we carry this experience forward with grateful hearts, anchored in the truth that even the simplest acts of kindness can leave the deepest impact. ๐ซถ โจ
