LIVE FROM THE GROUND: EVSU DULAG CELEBRATES 26 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE! โœจ

Today, May 11, 2026, the spirit of celebration is officially in the air as we kick off the morning activities for the first day of the 26th Founding Anniversary and Intramurals 2026 here at EVSU Dulag! We began this milestone morning with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration at Our Lady of Refuge Parish, followed by a high-energy parade led by the Supreme Student Government. Right now, the campus is buzzing with pride as we carry out our Opening Protocol, centered around this yearโ€™s powerful theme: "Shining Through the Prism of Excellence, Virtue, Service, and Unity." We are currently gathered for the formal opening ceremonies, where weโ€™ve been inspired by the welcome remarks of our Campus Administrator, Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga, and a keynote message from our University President, Dr. Dennis C. De Paz.

We are also deeply honored to hear Words of Felicitations from our distinguished guests and their representatives: Dr. John Glenn D. Ocaรฑa (Regional Director, DOST VIII); Atty. Melvyn Carlo T. Barroa (Regional Director, DICT VIII), represented by Ms. Florence Yanto-Raganit, Focal of the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau; Hon. Atty. Mildred Joy Que, CPA (Board Member, 2nd District of Leyte); and Hon. Jade A. Agullo (Municipal Mayor, Dulag, Leyte), represented by Ms. Jennille Advincula from the Mayor's Office. The torch is lit, the athletes are ready, and the energy is unmatched for this morning's festivities! Stay tuned as we begin a week-long showcase of talent, sportsmanship, and EVSU pride.

News Feature: Empowering Extension Excellence through CARE CAMP Workshop

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the faculty and non-teaching staff gathered at the Computer Laboratory for a vital training workshop titled "CARE CAMP: Orientation on the Updates to Extension Services." The program opened with a welcoming message from Sir Arnold M. Brit, Administrative Officer V, who spoke on behalf of Dr. Gerald Jayson B. Balanga to emphasize the institution's commitment to community engagement and administrative excellence. Following the opening, Mr. Dennis T. Palejaro, the Alumni Coordinator, introduced the dayโ€™s resource speakers, who provided the technical expertise needed to navigate the evolving landscape of extension work.

โ€‹The core of the workshop featured two insightful sessions: Dir. Rustom Clemente discussed the specific updates to extension services forms, formats, and documentary requirements, while Prof. Reshyl Del Pilar presented on the "Integrated Needs Assessment for Extension Services," ensuring that projects are both compliant and community-driven. These presentations transitioned into a hands-on Training Workshop Session, where participants actively applied the new guidelines to their respective roles. To wrap up the day, Dr. Rotchie P. Castil, Coordinator for Entrepreneurship & Extension Services, delivered the Words of Thanks, acknowledging the collective effort of the staff in elevating the quality and efficiency of the institutionโ€™s outreach programs.
