Free HIV Testing โข Screening โข Counseling
This January 14, 2026 (Wednesday), the SUSG Health Committee invites the entire Silliman community community to a full-day HIV awareness and testing event at Oriental Hall (OH), First Floor. The event will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Organized in partnership with the Silliman University College of Nursing Association (SUCNA), the Provincial Health Office and Dumaguete City Health Office, the SUSG Health Emergency Response Team (HERT), and the SUSG Advocacy Committee, The Red Ribbon Project provides free, confidential, and accessible HIV screening for everyone.
Participants will receive pre- and post-test counseling along with clear and factual HIV/AIDS education from trained medical professionals. These activities aim to strengthen awareness on HIV transmission, symptoms, and treatment, while encouraging early detection and reducing stigma.
With HIV cases continuing to rise in the Philippines, this initiative supports Silliman Universityโs commitment to a responsible, informed, and health-conscious campus. Knowing your status is an important step toward prevention, care, and overall well-being.
