Look || The pulchritudinous ambiance and the lighting of the spacious ballroom of Diamond Suites and Residences in the historic City of Cebu are as mesmerizing as its guest, the BSHM Students from Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology-Dumangas Campus during their Fine Dinning Etiquette with Personality Development Seminar-Workshop on May 08, 2023 and it was hosted by Instr. Alfredo A. Gambala.
Glittery in their gowns and glowing in their suits, the BSHM Students had their own ways to shine, and be admired, as they queued for photo op. Male students seemed to have transformed into handsome gentlemen, while female students unmindful of the agonizing pain of wearing high heels-maintained their composure and kept themeselves captivating all throughout the night.
Dr. Michelle B. Pahayculay, the Dean of the CHM delivered her opening remarks and warmly welcome the students and invited guest in the said event. Meanwhile, Prof. Ma. Ilonah D. Barba, Faculty of the said college did introduce the Lecturer. Ms. Kate Ann Barbasa Garcia, the Director of Rooms-Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, serves as the Lecturer who talked about "Social graces etiquettes and Personality Development.
Inspired by "Glitz and Glam theme" the entire hall was filled with lovely music and nostalgic songs, more magnified by peals of laughters and exchanges of pleasantries among teachers and students. It was a magnificent night for all BSHM Students because they witnessed their friends suddenly transform into men and women of sublime beauty. Expressions such as "Wow! is that you?" And "Oh, my goodness, friend!" were profusely shared by friends. Notably, to set the mood constantly pleasant, Ms. Deigh Deza of BSHM III rendered a song number then Delectable dishes from Appetizer to Dessert were generously served.
At the end of the event, beautiful ladies and gentlemen were recognized with acclamation. Special awards included (1) Male and Female Best Dressed; (2) Male and Female Head Turners; (3) Couple of the Night, and (4) Male and Female Stars of the Night.
After a meticulous judging, the committee led by Dr. Pahayculay, hailed Bonnie Lapostre and Generose Japitana as the Stars of the Night. Dhapne Diamante and Glenbert Abaygar were the Couple of the Night. Meanwhile, Mecca Ella Doquesa and Alexander Dio won the Best Dressed Award and Percy Paul Dilag and Lea Angelie Deallo were the Head Turners.
The said fine dinning activity was conlcuded by a Unity Song "ONE DAY" by: Matisyahu
Dr. Michelle B. Pahayculay, the Dean of the College commended the students for their impressive show of humility and sophistication at the same time. In the past few years, the BSHM Students and Teachers were observe to be very generous and sociable in terms of Extension Services. They do not hesitate to mingle with and genuinely care for the less-fortunate people in the society, yet, when it's time for this kind of event, they can truly shine beautifully like matured and refined persons.
