This fifth session brought committees together once more to report progress, present a resolution, and discuss upcoming activities such as the OMANSS Do-DAY and the Victory Party. OMANSS continues to strengthen its commitment to serving the CNSM community.

𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗥𝗚𝗬. 𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗦: 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗦

On the night of October 25, 2026, at approximately 11:22 PM, a fire broke out at the Roundball area near the ukay-ukay market, in front of the General Santos City Public Market. Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), together with ambulance units and emergency responders, were deployed to the scene to contain and extinguish the fire. Several houses were affected by the blaze, leaving an estimated 400 individuals in urgent need of assistance.

In response to this tragedy, the Organization of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Students (OMANSS), 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗡, is conducting a donation drive to support the families affected by the fire. We respectfully appeal to the community, to fellow students, and to all who are able to help, to extend support through monetary or in-kind (non-perishable) donations. Every contribution, regardless of size, will go a long way toward helping these families meet their immediate needs and begin to rebuild their lives. In this time of hardship, we ask for your generosity and solidarity.

This is a milestone, and an honor we carry with pride. Every point, every performance, and every cheer that brought us here was given with everything we had. We said we would bleed red, and we did, openly and without holding back.

To our players, performers, scholars, artists, volunteers, committees, faculty, and every Salamangkero who showed up in red: thank you. This place is yours, and it was earned through every late night, every sore leg, and every moment you gave your heart. 🪄

Quero is in our name, and it proved true again: heart-driven glory prevails. This is not the end of our story. It is the start of the next one.

Day 4 of Intramurals 2026 belongs to voices, characters, and stories, and it ends with Literary Night later today. The Salamangkeros are ready to cast their spell.

A chorus speaking as one, a scene brought to life, a character worn with pride. Each one starts with long rehearsals, borrowed hours, and nerves that no one sees until the lights come on. But our spell has never needed a wand. Quero is in our name, so whoever our performers become on stage, the heart underneath is always their own.

Our Salamangkeros take to the court for Sepak Takraw, and every kick is made with heart.

Sending a ball over the net with nothing but your feet takes more nerve than it looks. Our players spent hours drilling their timing and balance, and learned to trust their teammates enough to leave the ground for a spike. Quero is in our name, and on the court it shows in every touch of the ball.

To our players: stay sharp, stay fearless, and fly high. Whatever the score, we are proud of you.
