The Sociology Studentsโ€™ Society held its first General Assembly Meeting for the semester, bringing Sosyalsโ€™ together for a meaningful afternoon of transparency, dialogue, and collective participation.

The program started with a warm message and words of advice from Maโ€™am Novie Baretto, inspiring everyone to begin the semester with unity, purpose, and a renewed commitment to the Sociology community.

The General Assembly serves as a space to present important updates, raise concerns, and share manifestations that will help guide the organization throughout the semester. More than just a meeting, it is an opportunity for every voice to be heard and every concern to be acknowledged.

As we begin another semester, may we continue to listen, speak up, and stand together as one Sociology community.

The office of the President released the memorandum No. 002, s. 2026 mandating the student to actively participate in the upcoming General Assembly on September 4, 2026 to discuss and scrutinize all reports and projects of the council.

Moreover, the Office of Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs released its Memorandum no. 085-26, excusing all students from their class but are not exempted with the quizzes and other requirements.

As Su***de Prevention Month takes place, we keep in mind that sometimes the first step toward hope is realizing that we are not alone in facing hardships in our lives.

And you don't have to face what's beyond the door or climb the stairs alone when it seems like they go on forever.

Because despite the struggles right now, your life holds such great value to experience the beauty of living it to the fullest.

Days can feel endless and it might feel blurry at times. But you will never be someone not worth fighting for. And as you pave your way through life and when the month has passed, you will always matter.

Because oftentimes, however clichรฉ it might be, the darkest paths lead towards a bright light at the end of it.

And the light doesnโ€™t even need to stop once it was met. Because to be able to carry it towards tomorrow makes it all the while worth it. And you donโ€™t have to tread the path or carry the light with you alone. You have your friends, family, comrades, pets, and significant others to come along to the ride and support you.

The story wasnโ€™t about you going to a particular destination. It was all about the journey itself that makes it worthwhile.

And nothing is much more worthwhile than a life that has lived through it and will continue to do so as it unfolds.
