Foreign workers will be able to legally work in service industries such as restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and hotels. It will be possible to issue employment visas for simple development manpower needed in the information and communication (IT) industry, and foreign workers will be able to get a job in the transportation, warehouse and plant industries. The government tentatively decided to drastically revise the employment scale (quota) of non-professional foreign workers (E-9) and add these industries that lack manpower to the list of industries that allow foreign workers.

According to the coverage of the Asian economy on the 11th, the government recently prepared a 'reform plan for the introduction of foreign workers' containing these contents. Relevant ministries such as the Prime Ministerโs Office, Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Industry plan to include these details in the foreigner policy basic plan to be announced in the second half of the year.
