OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Rescheduled Opening of Classes for the
1st Semester, Academic Year 2026–2027
The Administration of the Filipino Canadian Community College Foundation, Inc. informs all current and incoming students that the opening of classes for the 1st Semester, Academic Year 2026–2027 has been moved to:
𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲)
This is in consideration of the huge impact brought about by the massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake that recently affected General Santos City and surrounding communities. The aftermath of this natural disaster caused various challenges among our students, their families, and the community, including concerns related to safety, financial stability, emotional and psychological well-being, and the necessary time needed for recovery and preparation.
In line with FCCCFI's commitment to student welfare, compassion, and inclusive education, the Administration has deemed it necessary to provide additional time for our current and incoming students to address their personal circumstances, make appropriate arrangements, and regain readiness for the upcoming academic year to ensure that our FILCANians will be able to begin the 1st Semester in a safer, more prepared, and more supportive learning environment. We believe that allowing sufficient time for recovery and preparation will contribute to a more meaningful and productive academic experience for everyone.
Students are encouraged to utilize this additional time to complete their enrollment requirements, prepare their academic materials, and coordinate with FILCAN regarding any concerns or assistance they may need.
Further announcements regarding enrollment procedures, student orientation, and other academic matters will be communicated through the official channels of the FCCCFI.
We sincerely thank everyone for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during this challenging period. Together, we remain resilient and committed to continuing our mission of providing quality education and support to the FILCAN community.
Please be guided accordingly.
