Oath-Taking Ceremony of ASU-Ibajay Student Leaders

On September 18, 2026, the Oath-Taking Ceremony for the newly elected and appointed officers of all student organizations and sub-organizations of ASU-Ibajay, including the ROTC Officers, was held at the Ibajay Campus.

The ceremony marked their commitment to leadership, service, discipline, and responsibility. Led by Prof. Jerby J. Paderes, Campus director, the officers pledged to serve with integrity and dedication.

โ€‹At 0700H, ROTC Advance Officers together with aspirants formed up all gathered students and campus staff at the quadrangle in preparation for the morning assembly. The Flag Raising Ceremony formally commenced, led by the Advance Officers. The National Anthem and ASU Hymn were performed by students from the Hospitality Management (HM) Department.

The ceremony concluded at 0800H, followed by post-ceremony remarks delivered by Engr. Johnnee Jess Cahilig, OSAS Chairperson and the logging of attendance per department.

โ€‹The day began at 0700H as officers cleaned the grounds and set up equipment at the Quadrangle and Gymnasium. Following the arrival of MAJ ANDREW P SUALOG PA (RES), TSG FELIX N MACAVINTA PA (RET), and SGT JACKELYN D INGUILLO PA (RES), the training officially opened. Cadets and aspirants assembled for attendance, joined the CWTS students for a joint Flag Raising Ceremony, logged final attendance, received CIVAC area assignments, and completed assessment forms.

โ€‹Cadets then reformed as Platoon Alpha and Platoon Bravo and marched to the campus gymnasium for classroom instruction. After a brief break, training resumed with a lecture on Military History taught by TSG FELIX N MACAVINTA PA (RET), successfully wrapping up the instruction period.

The event began at 0800H as Program Officers prepared the venue and cleaned the area, followed by participant registration. The official program opened at 0905H with a workout session, the National Anthem, and the school hymn, after which Engr. Johnnee Jess Cahilig delivered the welcoming remarks. Attorney Gie then led an informative discussion on personal safety, preventing sexual harassment, and understanding basic legal rights, key safety laws, and school policies. Following an open forum and a group photo.

In the afternoon a practical self-defense workshop led by Coach RR and three Black Belt instructors, who demonstrated essential Taekwondo moves, strikes, and proper stances. The Participants divided into group teams to practice these skills together.

Finally, after a group picture, the distribution of participation certificates, and closing remarks, the training successfully concluded at 1620H, continuing ASU-Ibajay's mission to build a safe, empowered, and respectful community.

Then a mass count was conducted to account for all participating students and personnel.

At 0900H, the group departed at Barangay Cabugao, Ibajay, Aklan. Upon arrival, participants took a short break before the tree-planting activity officially commenced. The ASUโ€“Ibajay Personnel, ASUโ€“ROTC Unit, and CAPGU Personnel actively participated in the activity.

At 1000H, all participants took a short break before resuming the activity. The tree planting continued and was successfully concluded at 1050H.
