The Society of Future Hoteliers participated in the two-day COHREP Regional Congress, themed "COHREP Goes B.R.I.G.H.T for SDG: Building Responsible, Innovative, and Globally Competitive Hospitality and Tourism Professionals," in Iloilo City on March 27-28, 2026.

The congress provided Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students with the necessary knowledge and skills for the hospitality industry.

On the first day, the congress featured a series of discussions, including "COHREP Goes B.R.I.G.H.T. for SDGs," followed by a skills contest on the second day. This experience served as an opportunity for students to develop ideas that enhanced their competence and prepared them as future professionals.

ASU-Ibajay is ISO 9001:2015 certified!

Aklan State Univeristy (ASU) in Ibajay, Aklan is now ISO 9001:2015 certified as issued by the TÜV Rheinland –a global independent inspection, testing, and certification organization that ensures the safety, quality, and efficiency of products, services, and management systems of companies and institutions for standardization, innovation, and sustainability.

This certification, issued on March 25, 2026, serves as the proof that ASU-Ibajay has met the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 after the auditing processes which means that the University meets the international standards for quality management systems and institutional operations.

The validity of the First certification 2026 will last from March 24, 2026 until March 23, 2029.

Aklan State University maintains its role as a continuously developing institution that leads towards innovation and sustainability on top of quality and excellent products and services.
