The 2026 DOST-SEI Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) is a scholarship enabling you to pursue your dreams while becoming part of a community committed to excellence, leadership, and service to the Filipino people.
Now that the application period is coming to a close this Friday, May 15, 2026, donโt waste the time and grab this chance to submit an application and take a step closer toward your goals. Through this program, students are given support that helps ease financial burdens and empowers them to focus on their studies and future careers.
To further motivate aspiring scholars, we at the MSU-IIT DOST Scholarsโ Association (MIDSA) interviewed some of our JLSS scholars to share their journeys and how the scholarship has supported them in different aspects of college life.

โReceiving the scholarship was one of the pivotal moments that happened throughout my college years. As a student whoโs barely just surviving the week with only coins left by the weekend, it was a shift of personal and academic routine. From hand-washing clothes to being able to afford laundry fees, it saved me quite a lot of time considering that my program is very time demanding. I was also able to upgrade my laptop to keep up with the simulation software requirements and docs sa ChE. Having the scholarship has provided me with a safety net, ensuring that my finances are no longer a constant burden.
Aside sa stipend, the scholarship also gave me a sense of responsibility to give back to people who, in the first place, are the ones funding my study. Tutoring the aspiring DOST scholars was one my ways to achieving this goal. Moving forward, I hope that many will have interest in pursuing S&T careers and will carry on the vision of engineering the future for the betterment of the Filipino people.โ
