And that we’re there to help the College of Education navigate increasingly diverse and demanding opportunities in Information and Communications Technology. The College of Education EDUCATIONAL MEDIA CENTER is a unit indispensable to the teacher-training programs of the College as a Center of Excellence for Teacher Education. It provides audio and/or visual media materials and services for recording, technical and production, basic computer unit repair and consultancy on effective media utilization. The center has a collection of audio visual facilities including cassette tape recorders, slide/tape recorders and projectors, film and film strip projectors, overhead and opaque projectors, video camera and other production hardware equipment. The learning resource centers serve as laboratory for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Educational Technology Courses. The Center, in cooperation with the Educational Technology faculty, has been conducting training on planning, production, use and evaluation of educational media resources not only for the college faculty and staff but also for the teachers in the Department of Education, Iligan City Division and its neighboring provinces throughout Mindanao. It has also conducted training on effective utilization of media resources for public basic education and tertiary level teachers. The Educational Media Center is supervised by the Dean of the College of Education through its coordinator together with the technical team, production team, training team, and ICT Resource team. The Educational Media Center manages the Audio Visual Rooms (room 202-203, 307) CED-ICT Laboratories, World links Training Center, College Audio Visual Center and the Multimedia Center. Aside from these, the technical staff supervised the operations of IT equipment and facilities of the entire college. They provide computer repair services to the faculty and assist the IT needs of the different departments. Educational Media Center is committed to the attainment of its goal, guided by the thrusts and programs of MSU-IIT, College of Education.
