CAREER GUIDANCE ORIENTATION||

The West Visayas State University–College of Agriculture and Forestry successfully conducted a Career Guidance Orientation across selected National High Schools in the Province of Iloilo.

This initiative forms part of the continuing commitment of the institution to assist and empower prospective students in making informed decisions as they prepare for higher education for Academic Year 2026–2027.

This activity aimed to provide senior high school learners with meaningful insights into various academic pathways, industry demands, educational opportunities, and future career prospects.

By bringing relevant and updated information to the students, the orientation seeks to bridge the gap between academic interests, skills development, and real-world career placement.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the school principals, guidance counselors, faculty members, and staff for their warm welcome and collaboration. Their support played a significant role in the success of the activity and strengthened our shared vision of guiding students toward purposeful and well-informed career directions.

West Visayas State University- College of Agriculture and Forestry remains steadfast in its mission to prepare students in the future. 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗪𝗩𝗦𝗨-𝗖𝗔𝗙 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀’ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀

Scholars from the West Visayas State University – College of Agriculture and Forestry (WVSU-CAF) proudly joined Kinaadman kag Kauswagan, the Western Visayas Scholars’ Congress, held on November 13, 2025, at Urdaneta Hall, University of San Agustin, Iloilo City.

The congress gathered scholars from various institutions across the region, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and discussions on academic excellence, community development, and youth leadership. Participants engaged in lectures, breakout sessions, and reflections inspired by testimonies from fellow scholars, all highlighting this year’s theme of advancing innovation and sustainable growth in Western Visayas.

Scholar-recipient representatives Hernani Adame, Jessa Joy Ado, Carl John Solas, and Regie Lego, together with Mr. Nicho Anthony Perez, OSA Staff of WVSU-CAF, showcased their commitment to academic leadership and community-centered initiatives. Their participation underscored the vital role of agriculture and forestry scholars in promoting sustainable development and stewardship within the region.

The event concluded with renewed motivation among the delegates as they returned to their respective institutions equipped with new insights, strengthened connections, and a shared vision for progress.
