𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲

The Baird television, developed by John Logie Baird, was the first television receiver sold to consumers in 1929. Baird had first demonstrated the televisor’s capabilities on January 26, 1926, and commercialized it in 1928.

Notable for its mechanical scanning method, the Baird television allowed the transmission of moving images, marking a major advancement in television technology. This innovation laid the groundwork for the modern TVs we use today, turning moving pictures from a novelty into a household experience.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲: 𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Broadcast Guild successfully concluded 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗚 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 yesterday, May 30, via Google Meet, an online event that served as a pivotal platform to inspire, unite, and equip aspiring student leaders for the upcoming academic year.

The Guild was privileged to welcome back former BG Vice Chairperson, 𝙈𝙧. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙯, as the resource speaker. He shared a profound perspective on authentic leadership, reminding us that leading is a deeply personal journey: “𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸; 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱.”

Guided by his insights, the future leaders of the Guild were challenged to embody core principles rooted in service. He emphasized the importance of being an empath who prioritizes understanding people, and being a follower who remains an active part of the community. Furthermore, he highlighted the need to be a communicator who listens intently before speaking or offering criticism, and ultimately, to be a model who leads by example with integrity.

We extend our utmost gratitude to Mr. Daniel de la Cruz for sharing his wisdom, and to all the delegates who participated. With the seminar and election proper now concluded, the Guild is ready to step into a new chapter of leadership and excellence.

𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

John Logie Baird was responsible for the first 3D television demonstration in 1928. He pioneered several 3D television systems using electro mechanical and cathode ray tube techniques, including the transmission of separate left eye and right eye images for true stereoscopic viewing.

This early experiment marked a major step forward in television innovation. Baird’s work laid the foundation for future developments in 3D and immersive viewing technologies, shaping how audiences would later experience depth and realism on screen.

The Grand Ole Opry, which began broadcasting on November 28, 1925, holds the title of the longest-running radio show in the world. Originally known as the WSM Barn Dance, this iconic country music program has entertained audiences for over 90 years.

Evolving into a cultural institution, the Grand Ole Opry continues to showcase both established and emerging musical talent. Its enduring legacy highlights radio’s power to connect communities and celebrate music across generations.

𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀

Satellite radio emerged in the early 2000s as a digital audio broadcasting service, offering clear, static-free sound and a wide range of channels. Unlike traditional AM and FM stations, it provides coverage across a much larger geographical area, primarily designed for use in vehicles.

The first major providers, XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio, launched in 2001 and 2002, quickly gaining popularity for their extensive programming, including music, news, and sports. They later merged to form SiriusXM, which continues to operate as the sole satellite radio provider in the United States, transforming how audiences access and enjoy radio content.
