𝐄𝐗𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎. 𝟎𝟔 𝐒. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 | APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF PUBLICITY AND DOCUMENTATION

In line with the recently released Memorandum Circular No. 05, s. 2026–2027, declaring the vacancy in the Director of Publicity and Documentation position, Executive Order No. 05, s. 2026–2027 formally appoints a new executive officer to fill the vacant position for Academic Year 2026–2027.

By virtue of the powers vested in the President of the Letran Legal Management Society under the Society's Constitution and By-Laws, this appointment ensures continuity in the performance of the Society's executive functions, particularly in publicity, communications, and documentation.

Pursuant to the powers of the Executive Board and in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the Letran Legal Management Society, Resolution No. 05, s. 2026–2027 formally appoints Roni Calupitan as a Staff Member of the Creatives Committee of the Letran Legal Management Society.

The appointment addresses the staffing deficiency previously recognized by the Executive Board and reinforces the Society’s commitment to maintaining an effective and functional committee structure in carrying out its programs, projects, and activities.

A look back at 𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒: 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, a meaningful gathering that brought together legal and engineering perspectives to discuss accountability, responsible development, and the protection of community rights. 🏗️⚖️

Together with the Letran Engineering Society, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our resource speakers, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱 of the IBON Foundation and 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗿, faculty member of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, for sharing their valuable insights and expertise. 💜❤

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 💙⚖️

Yesterday, October 23, the Letran Community came together for the 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫: 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧, spearheaded by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), and in partnership with the Community Extensions Department, and the Department of Student Affairs, alongside the Letran Community Volunteers, Letran Legal Management Society, and The Letran Politicvs.

The event's breakout sessions explored key issues affecting the youth today, with discussions focusing on 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐕𝐀𝐖𝐂, 𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐄𝐂, 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬, where students actively participated in these discussions. Afterwards, the talent portion and poster-making contest highlighted how creativity can become ways for the participants to stand for what they believe in.

We sincerely thank everyone who has made this event possible and successful. May the conversations and insights shared during the fair inspire us to go beyond understanding, but also take meaningful action in protecting our rights. ✊

𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 ⚖️

The Power of Eminent Domain allows the government to acquire private property for public use, provided that the owner receives fair compensation. This power enables the government to pursue projects that serve the public interest while respecting the constitutional protection of private property.

📌 𝑰𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆:
When the government needs privately owned land to construct a public road, it may negotiate with the owner to purchase the property. If an agreement cannot be reached, the government may initiate expropriation proceedings, provided that legal requirements are met and just compensation is paid to the owner.
