Congratulations to our Dean, Ma'am Lilian Guevara Hequibal Barberan 👏👏👏

Warmest congratulations to Lilian H. Barberan of Bicol College, Daraga, Albay on the successful publication of the research entitled “Transformational Leadership in Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs): The Role of Program Administrators in Driving Institutional Excellence in Sorsogon Province.”

This study highlights the vital role of transformational leadership in advancing institutional excellence within private higher education institutions. The findings reveal that program administrators demonstrate strong transformational leadership behaviors, particularly in Idealized Influence, while achieving a high level of institutional performance in areas such as teaching effectiveness and licensure examination outcomes. However, the study also identifies a critical gap in vision ex*****on and varying levels of mentorship and support across districts. The introduction of the Transformational Synergy Leadership Theory (TSLT) offers a comprehensive framework to strengthen leadership practices, foster innovation, and sustain long-term institutional excellence. The research reinforces the importance of continuously evolving leadership approaches to meet the dynamic demands of higher education.

This publication also acknowledges the valuable contributions of co-author Maria Luisa N. Gonzales, whose collaboration strengthened the study.

Lilian H. Barberan is the Dean of the BSBA program at Veritas College of Irosin, where she has demonstrated strong academic and administrative leadership. Her work reflects a deep commitment to institutional development, student engagement, and leadership excellence. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management, further strengthening her expertise in educational leadership and organizational development.

Published in Vol. 2 No. 4 (2026), this study contributes significantly to the fields of educational leadership, institutional management, and higher education development.
