Weโ€™d like to issue an important update regarding our earlier announcement for the Faculty of Teacher Education โ€“ VSU Isabel Onboarding 2026 happening on August 10, 2026 (Monday) at the VSU Isabel Social Hall.

Before proceeding to your respective program areas, all students are required to register at the designated counters upon arrival. This ensures proper documentation and smooth flow of the onboarding activities.

Please note that the seating plan has been revised. To promote better coordination, faculty members will now be seated in front of the Science, Math, and English programs, followed by BEED and BPED sections. Updated seating guides will be posted at the entrance and inside the hall for easy reference.
The rest of the program schedule remains the same:

Morning Session: Orientation for first-year, continuing, and returning students.

Afternoon Session:

1. Retention Policy Orientation (with parents of first-years)

This annual event brings together students, parents, and faculty to officially open the academic year with clear guidance, important reminders, and a shared commitment to excellence.

In the morning session, first-year, continuing, and returning students of the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Physical Education will be oriented to the policies, rules, and regulations of the university and the Faculty of Teacher Education.

In the afternoon session, two important highlights await:

1. ๐…๐“๐„ ๐‘๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐ฒ ๐Ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (1:00 PM onwards): The first-year students are required to bring their parents as we discuss the retention policy and expectations for staying in the program.

2. ๐’๐ž๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ๐ฌโ€™ ๐Ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (3:00 PM onwards): The fourthโ€‘year students will attend a short orientation to prepare for their internship and professional immersion, marking their transition from learners to future educators.

To ensure smooth coordination, the event will be supported by various student organizations of the Faculty of Teacher Education - VSU Isabel, assigned to specific working committees

A detailed seating arrangement has also been prepared for each program: Science, Math, English, BEED, and BPED, to help participants settle comfortably during the onboarding.

The Department of Teacher Education (DTE) and Department of Physical Education (DPE) of Visayas State University Isabel are now officially opening the Call for Applications for Student Awards 2026 for graduating students of Academic Year 2025โ€“2026.

This recognition aims to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, service, resilience, athletics, and publication through their outstanding contributions to the university and the community.

Qualified graduating students may apply under the following award categories:
