IGOROT BINNADANG RESTORES ROAD IN JUST ONE WEEK

What would normally take contractors a full month to complete was finished in just one week, not because of bigger budgets or heavy machinery, but because of people coming together.

Driven by the enduring spirit of binnadang, volunteers offered their time, strength, and skills without expecting anything in return. Each hand that lifted, each hour spent under the sun, reflected a deep sense of responsibility to the community.

This was not just road repair, it was proof that when unity, cooperation, and shared purpose lead the way, progress becomes faster, stronger, and more meaningful.

Our deepest thanks to everyone who stood together in the restoration of our road. What was accomplished goes beyond physical repair, it reflects the true strength of our community.

To the Mankayan local officials who initiated the call and led the way, thank you for the vision and decisive action. To the miners who offered their strength and skills, your hard work carried the road forward, stone by stone. To the women who cooked, prepared meals, and cared for everyone, your quiet dedication fueled every hour of labor and reminded us that service comes in many forms.

We also extend our gratitude to the government agencies, volunteers, and individuals who gave their time, resources, and support. Each contribution big or small mattered.

This effort was powered by binnadang the Cordilleran spirit of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility. Because of you, progress was not delayed, and hope was strengthened. Maraming salamat. This road now stands as a symbol of what we can achieve when we move as one.

From health missions and education support to youth programs and environmental action, this year reflected the true spirit of U.P. Beta Sigma Fraternity. Thousands of lives were touched through medical outreach, UPCAT assistance, disaster response, community service, academic excellence, and national-level representation. Across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, Betans stood firm in their commitment to serve with integrity, purpose, and brotherhood.

As we close this chapter, we honor every brother, partner, and community who made these milestones possible. This Year in Review is not just a record of achievements; it is a reminder of who we are and what we stand for. The work continues. The mission remains. The brotherhood grows stronger with every step forward.

Brod Charlie was the Undersecretary for the Revenue Operations Group of the Department of Finance prior to his appointment. He previously worked as a former district collector for the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu, founding partner of the Palafox Patriarca Romero and Mendoza Law Firm, law professor and Pre-Bar and Mandatory Continuing Legal Education lecturer.
