Basilan State College proudly recognizes the impactful session of 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗝𝗼𝗹𝗼, Information Technology Officer II of DICT Region IX and BASULTA, during the Learning Sessions on Women Empowerment with the topic “𝘐𝘊𝘛 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯.”

Through his engaging discussion, students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of digital literacy, cybersecurity, and responsible use of technology. More importantly, the session empowered participants to see technology as a powerful tool for education, innovation, and economic opportunities—especially for women.

This learning experience inspired students to become more confident and proactive in navigating the digital world, helping bridge the gender gap in technology and fostering a more inclusive and empowered future.

In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, Basilan State College proudly joins the nationwide campaign led by the Philippine Commission on Women with the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and this year’s sub-theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”. As part of the celebration, BaSC will host a series of exciting inter-college competitions that highlight student talent, creativity, knowledge, and advocacy for women empowerment and gender equality—with amazing prizes awaiting the winners!
