The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program continues its strong tradition of producing skilled seafarers, with a recent cohort of 24 students completing intensive training programs designed to launch their maritime careers. These dedicated students successfully concluded five essential certifications for seafarers at the PNTC Colleges—Maritime Training Center in Tanza, Cavite, a crucial step in preparation for their practicum and future employment in the maritime industry. These comprehensive training initiatives were spearheaded by Dean Dr. Ralph Angelo D. Alipio, whose dedication was instrumental in their successful ex*****on. The program's realization was significantly bolstered by the unwavering support of College President Dr. Haipa Abdurahim-Salain and Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Sheila U. Alonzo, whose leadership provided the necessary institutional backing.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Marivic V. Iriberri, CHED Region 9 Director; Dr. Jose Vicente A. Regalado, Education Supervisor 2 for Hospitality and Tourism; and Raisa A. Madayag, Regional SAS Focal Person, in allowing these vital activities to proceed. Our appreciation also goes to Captain Lito Bacaylan, master of the vessel; Miss Monet dela Vega; and Mr. Bryan Manalansang, shipboard training officer of 2GO Travel. We also acknowledge MYX Ticketing Travel Tours, operated by Maam Mitch and Mr. Allan Enriquez, for their excellent coordination and travel arrangements.
We celebrate our students' dedication and eagerly anticipate their continued success in the maritime industry!

Seafaring has long been a vital component of global trade and tourism, connecting cultures and economies across vast oceans. The introduction of Ropax (Roll-on/Roll-off Passenger) vessels has revolutionized maritime travel by providing efficient transport for both passengers and vehicles. This mode of transportation not only enhances the travel experience but also offers our students invaluable insights into the operational aspects of the hospitality industry at sea. Engaging with Trans-Asia Shipping Lines Inc. allows our students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, preparing them for successful careers in hospitality management.

In light of the recent completion of a two-month practicum by our Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students on Trans Asia's vessels ,we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Haipa Abdurahim-Salain, our esteemed College President, for her unwavering support of our program and commitment to ensuring a bright future for our students.

Additionally, we acknowledge the efforts of our VPAA, Dr. Sheila U. Alonzo and Mr. Ralph Angelo Alipio, our Dean, whose collaboration has facilitated a smooth transition for our students onto the vessel.

Lastly, we express our sincere appreciation to Trans-Asia Shipping Lines Inc. for providing this unique opportunity for hands-on learning aboard their vessels. Their collaboration not only enriches our students' educational experience but also strengthens ties between academia and industry.

Together, we celebrate this milestone as a significant step forward in shaping the future leaders of the hospitality sector.🌊⛴️⚓️

🎉 Last Minute Activities of Our Fourth Year Hospitality Management Students 🎉
As we approach the holiday season, our fourth-year BS Hospitality Management students have been busy engaging in enriching activities that enhance their learning and prepare them for their future careers. Here’s a recap of what they accomplished:
🌍 International Safety Management Workshop
Our students had the opportunity to participate in an informative workshop on International Safety Management, hosted by Oceanwide Maritime Services Corp. This session provided valuable insights into safety protocols and best practices within the hospitality industry, particularly focusing on maritime operations. The knowledge gained from this workshop is crucial for our students as they prepare to enter a global workforce where safety standards are paramount. 🛳️ Pre-Deployment Orientation Seminar Following the workshop, we held a Pre-Deployment Orientation Seminar, featuring our esteemed Guest Speaker, Second Mate John Rhome Eser Jose Mamangon, who serves as the Onboard Training Supervisor from Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology. His insights into the realities of working at sea provided our students with a comprehensive understanding of what to expect during their upcoming deployments, enhancing their readiness for future challenges in the industry.

🍹 Participation in BaSC Employees Year-End Party
Lastly, selected students had the exciting opportunity to participate in the year-end party for BaSC employees, where they showcased their skills by preparing mocktails. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their mixology knowledge while interacting with professionals in a festive setting. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday break! 🎁🎉
