Effective August 20, 2026, all old/continuing students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform while inside the University premises.

Freshies are advised to bring their Certificate of Registration (COR) upon entry to the University and must observe the prescribed dress code by wearing proper, decent, and appropriate attire.

All students are expected to comply with this policy. Non-compliance may be subject to appropriate guidance and action in accordance with the Student Manual.

SULU PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT AND SULU STATE UNIVERSITY CONGRATULATES CHED CHAIRPERSON SHIRLEY C. AGRUPIS, PH.D., FIRST ADOPTED DAUGHTER OF THE PROVINCE OF SULU

Sulu State University proudly congratulates Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis, Ph.D., Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), on her historic recognition as the First Adopted Daughter of the Province of Sulu.

This meaningful occasion was highlighted by two separate conferment ceremonies, both reflecting the warm welcome and high regard of the people of Sulu for Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis.

The first conferment ceremony was held by the Provincial Government of Sulu, led by Governor Abdusakur โ€œTotoโ€ Tan II, Vice Governor Abdusakur M. Tan, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Officials. Through this recognition, the Province formally welcomed Chairperson Agrupis into the Sulu family and acknowledged her commitment to the advancement of higher education and the development of Sulu.

The second conferment ceremony was held at Sulu State University on August 14, 2026, led by University President Prof. Charisma Samparani Ututalum CESE, together with University officials and the SuluSU community. The occasion was also graced by Hon. Samier A. Tan, Representative of the 1st District of Sulu, whose presence and hospitality added warmth and significance to the celebration.

Together, these two historic events symbolize a stronger bond among Chairperson Agrupis, the Provincial Government of Sulu, and Sulu State University united by a shared commitment to education, service, and greater opportunities for the people of Sulu.

Sulu State University expresses its sincere gratitude to the Provincial Government of Sulu, under the leadership of Governor Abdusakur โ€œTotoโ€ Tan II and Vice Governor Abdusakur M. Tan, and to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Officials for this historic recognition.
