Today, we remember the Filipinos who fought and stood up for the privileges we have today, people who sacrificed their lives for the Filipino people. That includes the farmers who plant the food that we have on our tables, the healthcare and rescue workers who unhesitatingly gave their lives to save others, and the overseas Filipino workers who sacrifice their lives to provide for their families, and many more.

Our heroes fought for the rights that we have today, and it is our duty to keep that light burning, to fight for what is right, and to give the Philippines and its people what they deserve. Happy National Heroes Day.
