LOOK II SPenC Pride Band Hones Musical Talent at Labason Summer Music Camp 2026 🎺🎼

Members of the SPenC Pride Band, together with selected students of Southern Peninsula College (SPenC), participated in the Labason Summer Music Camp 2026 held at Kipit Agro-Fishery High School, a three-day intensive training program designed to enhance musical skills, discipline, teamwork, and performance excellence.

The music camp brought together aspiring musicians from various schools and organizations, providing participants with valuable opportunities to engage in hands-on workshops, rehearsals, and specialized training sessions. Throughout the program, students strengthened their musicianship, developed greater confidence in performance, and deepened their appreciation for the art of music.
Beyond improving technical skills, the camp promoted the values of dedication, cooperation, and discipline—qualities that are essential not only in music but also in everyday life. Through collaborative activities and immersive learning experiences, participants forged meaningful friendships and strengthened their commitment to excellence.

Southern Peninsula College extends its heartfelt gratitude to the School President Juris Doctor Leilani B. Delgado-Moselina for her unwavering support and dedication to student development through arts and cultural initiatives. The institution likewise acknowledges the Student Affairs and Services Director Juris Doctor Romualdo P. Moselina Jr. for his continued encouragement and support in making this enriching opportunity possible for the students.

The College also expresses its sincere appreciation to the Philippine Drum and Lyre Association, Inc. (PDLAI), particularly Band Director Radzmin D. Ramirez, and the team of trainers and facilitators for generously sharing their expertise, knowledge, and passion for music. Their mentorship and guidance have greatly contributed to the growth and development of the participants, inspiring them to pursue higher levels of musical excellence.

As the camp concluded, the students returned home equipped with enhanced musical skills, valuable experiences, and renewed inspiration to continue their musical journey. More importantly, they carried with them lasting memories and lessons that will guide them in future performances and endeavors.

The participation of the SPenC Pride Band in the Labason Summer Music Camp 2026 reflects Southern Peninsula College’s commitment to holistic education and its continuing support for programs that cultivate students’ talents, leadership, and artistic excellence.

LOOK II SPENC Assistant Librarian Completes On-Site Training at ADZU JHS Library

Southern Peninsula College proudly shares the successful completion of a one-week on-site library training by Rona Chris O. Agbon, Assistant to the Librarian, held at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School Library from June 1–5, 2026.

The training provided a valuable professional learning experience, offering in-depth exposure to key areas of library operations, including collection development, resource management, user services, and the application of modern library practices and technologies. The knowledge and skills gained are expected to further strengthen and enhance the delivery of efficient, innovative, and responsive library services at Southern Peninsula College.

The College extends its heartfelt appreciation to the administration and Library Staff of Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School for their generous support, warm accommodation, and willingness to share their expertise and best practices throughout the duration of the training.

Special recognition is also extended to Fr. Roberto M. Boholst, SJ, Junior High School Principal; Mr. Ranul J. Sta. Maria, IMC Coordinator; Ms. Kristine B. Francisco, Librarian; and Ms. Myrza B. Jumaari, Library Staff, whose guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support made this professional learning opportunity both meaningful and enriching.

Likewise, Southern Peninsula College expresses its profound gratitude to College President Juris Doctor Leilani B. Last June 12, 2026, Southern Peninsula College celebrated Philippine Independence Day through color, creativity, and teamwork as our students took part in the 𝗦𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗖 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

We proudly recognize and appreciate the participation of our 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗕𝗦𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺, 𝗧𝗘𝗗, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗦𝗕𝗔 students, whose murals reflected love of country, respect for history, and hope for the Filipino future.

In celebration of Philippine Independence Day, our students and faculty members came together to transform our school walls into murals of history, hope, courage, and national pride.

Through every brushstroke, our SPenCinistas remind us that freedom is not only remembered in ceremonies, but also expressed through creativity, unity, service, and love for country.

This mural activity is more than an art project. It is a shared act of school spirit and patriotism — a visible reminder that the values of independence continue to live in the hearts and hands of the young.

May these walls inspire every learner who passes by to remember the sacrifices of our heroes, appreciate the gift of freedom, and take part in building a better Philippines.

Today, Southern Peninsula College joins the Filipino nation in commemorating Philippine Independence Day.

This day reminds us that freedom is not only a gift from the past. It is also a responsibility for the present. In every generation, Filipinos are called to protect truth, uphold peace, respect the rule of law, and place the welfare of the nation above personal interest.

As SPenCinistas, we honor the courage of our heroes by becoming responsible students, ethical leaders, dedicated professionals, and patriotic citizens. In times of uncertainty, we choose hope. In times of division, we choose unity. In times of challenge, we choose service.
