Tracer Study for the College of Teacher Education Graduates—Lagangilang Campus

The College of Teacher Education is pleased to announce the conduct of a Tracer Study for its graduates. This aims to gather relevant information on the employment status, career progression, and professional experiences of our alumni, as well as to assess the relevance and effectiveness of the programs offered by the College.

The results of this tracer study will serve as an important basis for curriculum enhancement, research, quality assurance, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement of academic programs to better respond to the needs of the education sector.

We kindly ask all graduates of the College of Teacher Education-Lagangilang Campus to participate by filling out the provided form.

BEYOND THE BENCH | Strengthening Research Governance and Financial Stewardship for CorCAARRD-Supported CMIs

Faculty and staff of ASIST AFTIICC successfully completed a three-part capacity-building program hosted by the regional Consortium CorCAARRD which focused on advancing strategic research management and sound financial stewardship. The training provided hands-on guidance on budgeting, fiscal controls, regulatory compliance, and research governance,a critical competencies for managing externally funded R&D initiatives.

Through this learning series, the ASIST AFTIICC team is now more capable of integrating financial planning with research implementation, promoting transparency and accountability, and ensuring the efficient delivery of timely, outcome-driven research and development projects.

The delegation was led by AFTIICC Director Dr. Nero M. Paderes, with key support from project finance staff Ms. Kae Ann P. Balingit and Mr. Cedric Llanda, together with project staff Ms. Mary Rose Casigay, Ms. Avegiyl Anquilliano, Ms. Tiffany Manangbao, and Ms. Nathalia Grace Bigornia.
This initiative reinforces ASIST AFTIICC’s commitment to strengthening institutional systems that support high-impact, compliant, and sustainable research under DOST supported programs.

ASIST Receives Recognition from DOST–PTRI for the Second Consecutive Year

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) was once again conferred a recognition by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST–PTRI) for its significant and worthwhile contribution as an academic institution in promoting the growth and development of the textile industry in the Philippines.

This marks the second straight year that ASIST has been acknowledged for its continuing support and collaboration in advancing textile research, innovation, and industry partnerships.

The recognition was formally received by ASIST President Dr. Gregorio T. Turqueza, Jr., together with AFTIICC Director Dr. Nero M. Paderes, during the fellowship and stakeholder recognition activity of the 2026 National Textile Convention.

ASIST remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening initiatives that uphold innovation, sustainability, and cultural heritage in the Philippine textile sector.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is authorizing and encouraging ASIST/UA to disseminate, post and share the PDEA QR Code-Based Feedback Mechanism. This initiative aims to strengthen the collaboration in promoting good governance and responsive public service.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is committed to enhancing transparency, accountability, and public engagement in the delivery of its services. In line with this, PDEA has developed the QR Code-Based Feedback Mechanism, a platform that engages the citizenry to easily provide feedback, comments, and suggestions on PDEA programs and services on the country's anti-drug campaign as a whole.

Please be advised that all transactions and office operations across all campuses of the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) will be for a HALF-DAY only on Monday, December 15, 2025.

This is to allow all ASIST employees to attend the Balligi Awards 2025.

The general public is strongly advised to transact their business during the early morning hours (before 12:00 PM) on December 15, 2025 or consider rescheduling their visit or business transactions to another date.

Regular office operations will fully resume on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
