The Agriculture and Forestry Student Council of West Visayas State University โ€“ College of Agriculture and Forestry officially convened its 1st Legislative Session on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Student Center, WVSU-CAF, Brgy. Jayobo, Lambunao, Iloilo.

Presiding over the session was AFSC Vice Chairperson and Presiding Officer, Jushua C. Sobrevega, in accordance with Article 4, Section 4.A.2 of the 2025 AFSC Constitution and By-Laws.

In attendance were Accredited Organization Chairpersons and Treasurers, Curriculum Council Officers with 2 representatives each, Homeroom Presidents, and representatives from AZF, SAE, and ROTC.

During the session, the council tackled key agenda items for the semester, including:
1. Teachersโ€™ Day Celebration Program
2. Acquaintance Party
3. Division of Labor
4. Other Matters

The meeting marked the official start of the councilโ€™s legislative work for Academic Year 2026-2027. The AFSC emphasized the importance of collaboration, responsibility, and service as they begin planning programs and activities for the WVSU-CAF community.
