The faculty and staff of Sto. Niño Mactan Montessori School and Sto. Niño Mactan College gathered for a meaningful Retreat and Spiritual Formation; a time of reflection, renewal, prayer, and unity.

As educators and mentors, this spiritual journey reminds us that teaching is not only a profession, but a calling rooted in faith, compassion, wisdom, and service. Through moments of silence, sharing, and inspiration, we continue to strengthen our commitment to guide our students with integrity, purpose, and love.

May this retreat renew our hearts and deepen our dedication as we prepare for another year of shaping minds, nurturing values, and building a brighter future for the next generation.

Empowering voices, inspiring change, and promoting equality — the 2nd Year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students successfully conducted a meaningful seminar for their Gender and Development subject with the theme, “Gender Matters: Empowering Society Through Equality.”

The seminar highlighted important and timely discussions focusing on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment, Gender Sensitivity and Inclusivity, Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Harassment, Mental Health and Well-being Across Genders, and Gender Roles in Family, Society, and Workplace. Through these topics, students were able to deepen their understanding of the importance of respect, acceptance, fairness, and equal opportunities for all individuals regardless of gender.

Selected students were given the opportunity to become speakers and share their own knowledge, experiences, and insights regarding each topic. This activity not only enhanced their confidence in public speaking and communication but also served as a platform for them to become more socially aware, informed, and responsible future professionals.

The seminar became a reminder that gender awareness is not only a subject to study but a responsibility to practice in everyday life. By educating young individuals about equality and inclusivity, we help create a safer, more understanding, and empowered society for everyone. Congratulations to all the students, speakers, organizers, and participants who made this successful and meaningful event possible!
