PHOTO HIGHLIGHTS | 5TH TRAINING DAY

The 279th Naval ROTC Unit of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA - Las Piñas conducted its fifth training day online via Microsoft Teams.

During this session, the midshipmen and women completed their Preliminary Examinations. Following the exams, they attended lectures on the Philippine Insurgency and Civil-Military Operations, presented by Commander Maria Christina Roxas, the unit's Commandant. The training continued with additional lectures on National Security Threats, Basic Signal Communications, and Basic Unit Formation, delivered by the Training Staff.

Today, August 21st, we celebrate Ninoy Aquino Day.

The Philippines commemorates Ninoy Aquino Day in honor of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., who was assassinated on August 21, 1983, at the Manila International Airport upon returning to the Philippines.

This day serves as a reminder of his courage, sacrifice, and love for the country. More than remembering a historical figure, Ninoy Aquino Day encourages us to value freedom, democracy, and unity as Filipinos.
