All classes at BU Legazpi West, Legazpi East, and Daraga will shift to alternative learning modalities (online synchronous or asynchronous, or other appropriate learning activities) on the morning of Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in accordance with the BU Revitalized Learning Continuity Plan (RLCP). Face-to-face classes will resume at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.

Concerned non-teaching personnel of the said campuses will still report on site (face-to-face work arrangement). They are advised to make the necessary travel adjustments and allowances for possible delays due to traffic congestion and road closures.

These measures follow the traffic advisory of the Office of the City Mayor of Legazpi, through the Legazpi City Traffic Management and Public Safety Office, in connection with the Solemn Jubilee Mass with His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle and the celebration of the Diocesan Diamond Jubilee. Road closures are expected near Peñaranda Park and Saint Gregory the Great Parish Church from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 28, 2026, which may result in heavy traffic and travel delays.

Students with afternoon onsite classes, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel are advised to anticipate traffic congestion and road closures, plan their travel accordingly, and allow sufficient travel time to reach their respective campuses on time.

The measures come upon the recommendation of the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Please be guided accordingly.
