The Final Day of the Capstone Project and Research Defense concluded on May 7, 2026, marking the culmination of months of preparation, collaboration, and determination from the students. Day 4 showcased not only innovative systems and research studies, but also the confidence, resilience, and growth of every presenter as they defended their work before the panel.

As the defense officially comes to a close, the department congratulates all students for reaching this significant academic milestone and for demonstrating their readiness to take on future challenges in the field of Information Technology.

Each presentation reflects not only technical competence but also the personal journey behind every study, with moments that showed how meaningful these projects have become to the presenters.

The department recognizes the commitment of the students, the valuable insights of the panelists, and the steady support of the faculty in guiding them toward completion. As the evaluations move forward, we look ahead to the successful culmination of this academic milestone.

The Capstone Project and Research Defense for students commenced on May 4โ€“5, 2026, showcasing innovative ideas, technical skills, and dedication to academic excellence. While several groups have successfully presented their studies, the evaluation process continues as remaining students are set to defend their respective projects.

The department commends the students for their hard work and perseverance, as well as the panelists and faculty members for their guidance and support throughout the process.

The AICON Cebu 2026, held last April 16 at Radisson Blue Hotel Cebu, gathered leaders, professionals, educators, and students in a meaningful convergence focused on the future of AI in the Philippines.

Among the attendees was our IT instructor, William Evan C. Mancao, who participated in the eventโ€™s discussions on innovation, analytics, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education and industry.

Organized by the Analytics & AI Association of the Philippines (AAP), the conference served as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and forward-thinking ideas shaping a smarter digital future.

Our very own instructor, Ms. Rica Mae O. Vicente, proudly participated in the MRSP International Annual Summit 2026 held last March 27โ€“28 at the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta โ€“ Las Piรฑas.

Centered on the theme โ€œWISER (Women in Intelligent Systems, Engineering, and Robotics): Shaping a Humanoid-Ready Philippines through Inclusive Innovation,โ€ the summit gathered brilliant minds dedicated to advancing technology through inclusivity and excellence.

Her achievement reflects not only personal growth but also a strong commitment to inspiring future innovators in the field of computing and engineering.

๐—œ๐—ก ๐—ฃ๐—›๐—ข๐—ง๐—ข๐—ฆ | Mission accomplished! The IT students from VSU-Isabel successfully capped off a productive day at the 2nd FOC Research Colloquium and 1st Faculty of Computing Anniversary at the VSU Main Campus yesterday, February 24.

Highlighting the celebration, talented IT students proudly secured 3rd Place in the Paper Presentation, showcasing their research excellence and innovative ideas.
