‎Burauen Community College (BCC) Program Head of the Bachelor of Public Administration, Ronaldo F. Platilla, MPM, was awarded the Analytical Excellence Award – Best Critical or Academic Essay by Binas Publishing on February 22, 2026.

‎Platilla received the honor for his essay, “Public Fiscal Administration: From Budget to Barangay,” which was selected as one of only ten outstanding entries nationwide that week. The award recognizes works that exhibit rigorous analysis, intellectual depth, and clarity in scholarly writing. His essay was praised for its thorough examination of public governance and fiscal management, effectively connecting policy frameworks to real-world community impact.

𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 4𝘁𝗵-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗣𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

Burauen Community College (BCC) marked a milestone in academic excellence as fourth-year Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) students Jhunny Diaz, Pamela Jean Davocol, and Aljealyn Venezuela participated in NextGenPH: Youth Innovators Reimagining Public Service, a national initiative organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in November 2025.

Guided by their coach, Mr. Jay D. Indita, the students joined youth innovators from across the country in proposing innovative solutions aimed at improving public service delivery and governance.

Representing BCC, the students presented Project Balangay, an initiative that promotes digital, transparent, and inclusive barangay governance through capacity-building programs, investments in digital infrastructure, and partnerships with educational institutions and youth leaders.

In recognition of their participation, the students were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the DAP, acknowledging the institution’s valuable contribution to the success of the NextGenPH program. The certificate, issued on November 11, 2025, was officially received by the participants earlier this January 2026.

The recognition underscores BCC’s active role in advancing youth-led innovation in public service at the national level and further strengthens its advocacy for responsive and transparent governance within the field of Public Administration.

The Central Student Council (CSC) of Burauen Community College successfully convened its 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 on January 21, 2026, at the Chemistry Laboratory. This significant event brought together representatives from various student organizations, including the𝘾𝘽𝙋𝘼-𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡, 𝙄𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝙎𝙄𝙋𝘼𝙂, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙒𝙏𝙎, fostering a collaborative spirit and commitment to student welfare.

The assembly provided a platform for constructive dialogue, enabling student leaders to discuss pressing issues, share ideas, and align efforts towards enhancing the overall student experience. We appreciate the active participation and contributions of all attendees, which underscores the collective dedication to promoting student interests and progress.

Moving forward, the CSC remains steadfast in its commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, working tirelessly to address student needs and promote a culture of excellence. Today we celebrate the Child Jesus – our beloved Sto. Niño, who stands as a powerful symbol of hope for all of us, especially in times of uncertainty. He brings boundless joy, enduring hope, and abundant blessings to our hearts and homes. Dancing to the beat of the drums, offering prayers of gratitude, and sharing love with family and community—we hold close to the truth that He is our light in darkness, guiding us forward with gentle strength.

This feast reminds us that faith can move mountains and kindness makes the world brighter, and through the Sto. Niño, we find the courage to hope for better days ahead for ourselves and our community.
