Burauen Community College (BCC) marked a milestone in academic excellence as fourth-year Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) students Jhunny Diaz, Pamela Jean Davocol, and Aljealyn Venezuela participated in NextGenPH: Youth Innovators Reimagining Public Service, a national initiative organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in November 2025.
Guided by their coach, Mr. Jay D. Indita, the students joined youth innovators from across the country in proposing innovative solutions aimed at improving public service delivery and governance.
Representing BCC, the students presented Project Balangay, an initiative that promotes digital, transparent, and inclusive barangay governance through capacity-building programs, investments in digital infrastructure, and partnerships with educational institutions and youth leaders.
In recognition of their participation, the students were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the DAP, acknowledging the institutionโs valuable contribution to the success of the NextGenPH program. The certificate, issued on November 11, 2025, was officially received by the participants earlier this January 2026.
The recognition underscores BCCโs active role in advancing youth-led innovation in public service at the national level and further strengthens its advocacy for responsive and transparent governance within the field of Public Administration.
