Central Bicol State University of Agriculture paid a visit to UPLB as part of the Cross Visits to Higher Education Institutions in Luzon Cum Planning Workshop.
Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Roberto P. Cereno gave the opening remarks, followed by presentations from the representatives of the Budget Management Office (BMO) and University Planning and Maintenance Office (UPMO), wherein they shared the processes and best practices of the University for various areas.
Specifically, BMO OIC John Reymark C. Garcia shared a presentation on Institutional Planning and Budgeting. It was proceeded by a video presentation on the UPLB Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP).
The remaining presentations were provided by representatives from UPMO covering the following: Project Planning and Design Management, Construction Management, and Facilities Maintenance. These topics were discussed by Arch. William Jeffrey Y. Rañola of the Planning and Design Section (PDS), Engr. Arnel I. Pantig of the Construction, Supervision, and Inspection Section (CSIS), and UPMO Deputy Director Donny Rey D. Camus, respectively. UPMO Director Marloe B. Sundo was also present with the team to support the discussions.
In between each topic was the open forum where representatives of CBSUA raised concerns on matters they usually encounter and asked questions wherein Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Fernando O. Paras, Jr. and the resource persons shared the best practices being conducted by the University. It was also remarked that the University is willing to assist CBSUA specifically on questions related to the latter's LUDIP.
As part of the closing remarks, VC Paras mentioned that UPLB would also want to visit CBSUA and learn as well from their best practices.
