📣 DIDN’T PASS UPCAT? HERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO GET INTO UP 🌻

Not passing the UPCAT does not mean the end of your journey to becoming an Iskolar ng Bayan. The University of the Philippines (UP) offers several alternative pathways for students who still wish to pursue their studies in the UP System.

📍 Talent & Skills-Based Admissions
Applicants with strengths in the arts, writing, or creative fields may apply through the Talent Determination Test (TDT), while aspiring student-athletes can enter via the Varsity Athletic Admission System (VAAS).

📍 UP Open University (UPOU)
UP also offers flexible, fully online programs through UP Open University, where applicants take the Undergraduate Admission Test (UgAT) instead of the UPCAT. This pathway is open to:
✔️ Senior high school graduates
✔️ ALS passers
✔️ Working students and adult learners

📍 Transfer Pathway
Students may apply to UP after completing at least one year of college in another university or campus, subject to academic requirements and available slots.

🎓 Associate & Certificate Programs
UP offers shorter programs that can serve as ladderized pathways toward a full bachelor’s degree once academic requirements are met.

🏫 Special Admission Programs
Top graduates from public high schools may qualify under the Iskolar ng Bayan Act, while programs like the UP Manila School of Health Sciences prioritize students from underserved communities.

UPCAT 2026 RESULTS ARE OUT!

Application results for incoming new first-year students for AY 2026-2027 are now available.

It is encouraged to log in to the UPCAT 2026 results portal to view your results according to the allotted time slots.

Applicants who are offered a slot must reply to the offer by 16 May 2026, Saturday. Access the UPCAT 2026 results portal at https://upcat2026results.up.edu.ph/ using the login credentials you used to apply.

On March 31, the 𝙐𝙋𝙇𝘽 𝙏𝙖𝙪 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖 extended roses to the women of the University of the Philippines Los Baños to honor them during this significant month. 🌹❤️

We are deeply aware that the struggles faced by many women are far from new; they are persistent, deeply entrenched, and rooted in a society shaped by patriarchy. Though our act was simple, we hope that every woman we encountered felt, even for a moment, that she is valued, cherished, and seen— not only for her accomplishments but for the fullness of her being. ✊ For each of them deserves to be loved, cared for, and protected, not merely in March, but every single day. ❤️‍🩹

On October 04, the UPLB Triskelions, together with 1-UP Triskelions, celebrated 57 years of strength, free will, and brotherhood.

For decades, the Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity has produced leaders and servants of the community—a legacy that continues to stand strong despite challenges, guided by our Tenets and Code of Conduct.

In line with this celebration, we marked our 57th Founding Anniversary by hosting an open tambayan on October 28. This initiative served not only as a celebration of our brotherhood but also as a form of service to the UPLB community, providing a welcoming space and support for students on campus.

‎HOW TO APPLY FOR UPCAT

Applications for incoming first-year students (AY 2027–2028) are now open this March.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟭: Create an Online Application Account
‎Visit the official UPCAT online application portal and register using a valid email address. (Link in comments)
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟮: Accomplish Form 1
‎Enter personal details and choose preferred UP campuses and degree programs.
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟯: Accomplish Form 2B
‎Encode final grades accurately. Incorrect entries may lead to disqualification.
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟰: Coordinate with Your School (Form 2A)
‎The school will verify grades and submit Form 2A directly to UP.
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟱: Submit the Online Application
‎Review all entries and submit before the deadline.
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟲: Download and Print the Test Permit
‎Bring the printed test permit on exam day.
‎
‎𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟳: Take the UPCAT
‎Bring test permit, valid ID, and pencils only. Calculators and gadgets are prohibited.

UPCAT 2027 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for incoming new first-year students for AY 2027-2028.

Applicants must fill out and submit their Form 1 in the online portal from 03 March to 30 March 2026 to take the exam on 01 and 02 August 2026.

Current Grade 11 students this SY 2025-2026 who will graduate senior high school by SY 2026-2027, or current Grade 12 students who have not taken the UPCAT in the previous cycles are eligible to apply.

School officials must fill out and confirm their students in the Form 2A portal from 03 March to 10 April 2026, for applicants to receive their test permit in July 2026.

Applicants must then revisit the portal after the exam, starting 03 August until 24 August 2026, to fill out their grades for Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 in the Form 2B portal. They must also submit the hard copy certified true copy of their SF-10 or Student Permanent Record to the UP Office of Admissions located inside UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Applicants can access the online application portal at https://upcat2027online.up.edu.ph/.

Application is not on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, please make sure to submit your application online by the deadline.
