UPLB BIOMECH BIOMECH envisioned Excellence in RDE committed to agri-fisheries and biosystems mechanization in the

Center for Agri-Fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH), formerly known as the Agricultural Mechanization Development Program (AMDP), was established in 1979 to represent the country in the Regional Network for Agricultural Mechanization (RNAM). It serves as the research and extension program of the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT). AMDP was strengthened and in

stitutionalized through Republic Act 10601, also known as the AFMech Law of 2013. As stipulated in Article 3, Section 8 of AFMech Law, it shall lead and coordinate the agricultural and fishery mechanization research, development and extension programs of all academic institutions in the country. It was then elevated into the Center for Agri-fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization of CEAT-UPLB through the approval of the Board of Regents on October 29, 2015. For four decades BIOMECH has contributed to the development of agricultural mechanization in the country in terms of academic based research and development, training and extension, policy advocacy and local manufacture of agricultural machinery for the Filipino farmers, extension workers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and students.

The meeting focused on the process and documentary requirements in preparation for the start of the internship program, ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated implementation for all parties involved.
