The Southern Luzon State University community proudly congratulates BSHM students Kurt Gloton, President of Camarero de Bar, for securing 1st Place 🏆, together with Kenneth Palad, PRO of the organization, in the Brew-Volution 2.0 Innovative Coffee Competition held on May 12, 2026 in Lucban, Quezon. Both of the winners are currently Third Year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students.

The competition was one of the featured events during the grand celebration of the Pahiyas Festival, showcasing local artistry, culture, and innovation. 🎉☕

Demonstrating remarkable creativity and craftsmanship, the students developed innovative coffee beverages using Da Vinci Gourmet Syrup ☕, MilkLab Almond Milk 🥛, and Pinagdanlayan Coffee 🌱.

✨ Kurt Gloton presented “Simbang Gabi”, a festive P**o Bumbong-inspired coffee creation that captured the comforting flavors and nostalgic spirit of Filipino holiday traditions. 🎄🍠

✨ Kenneth Palad introduced “KAPEstahan”, a bold and uniquely local beverage concept that incorporated the flavors of Lucban longganisa 🌭 and broas 🍪, reflecting Lucban’s rich culinary identity in a modern coffee experience.

Their winning performance earned them cash prizes 💵, trophies 🏆, gift packs 🎁, and sponsor merchandise ✨.

Congratulations to Team Pramises composed of Noah Lacorte (BSHM First Year Student), Rhyza Viennice V. Lista (BSHM Second Year Student), and John Ray Oblefias (BIndTech Student) of Southern Luzon State University for clinching 2nd Place 🥈 in the prestigious Lucban Master Chef Season 5 held last May 10, 2026. The competition formed part of the week-long celebration of the vibrant Pahiyas Festival in honor of San Isidro Labrador. 🎉🌾

The team impressed the judges with their innovative culinary creations featuring the iconic Lucban Longganisa as their main course and the famous Kiping as their dessert centerpiece—showcasing creativity, technical skill, and deep appreciation for local gastronomy and cultural heritage. 👨‍🍳✨

For their outstanding performance, Team Pramises received a cash prize 💵, gift packs 🎁, and sponsor merchandise 🏆.

The HME01: Bar and Beverage Management students pushed the boundaries of beverage creation through their Final Performance Task featuring experimental cocktails inspired by unique and exciting themes — from the convenience and creativity of *Cocktails on the Go*, the vibrant flavors of *Tutti Frutti Cocktails*, the bold fusion of *Coffee Alchemy*, to the nostalgic sweetness of *Filipino Dessert Cocktails*.

Each drink showcased not only technical bartending skills but also originality, storytelling, and modern beverage trends brought to life in every pour and presentation. Cheers to creativity without limits and to the future innovators of the beverage industry! 🍹👏

In celebration of World Cocktail Day, the HME01: Bar and Beverage Management students showcased their skills and passion through their Final Performance Task by creating their very own experimental cocktail drinks. Inspired by exciting and contemporary themes such as *Sustainable Cocktails*, *Oh My Gulay!*, *Fit to a Tea*, and *Savory & Umami Cocktails*, each creation highlighted unique flavor profiles, artistic presentation, and innovative beverage concepts.

More than just mixing drinks, the students demonstrated creativity, technical expertise, and a deeper appreciation for modern mixology trends and sustainable beverage practices. Cheers to the future bartenders and beverage innovators who continue to raise the bar one cocktail at a time! 🍹👏
