On 16 August 2026, the Saint Joseph College ROTC Unit conducted its regular Sunday formation, highlighted by the inspection of officers and cadets, attendance, and Drills and Ceremonies.

The Sunday formation consisted of Drills and Ceremonies and lecture sessions for the Basic ROTC Cadets and Advanced ROTC Officers. The lectures covered Basic Map Reading, Threats to National Security, Military Courtesy and Discipline, Military Justice, and Marksmanship.

The lecture on Basic Map Reading was delivered by Msg Richard S. Pacion (Inf) PA, while Threats to National Security was discussed by Sgt Rofel Joy G Olor PA (Res).

Meanwhile, the Advanced ROTC Officers received lectures on Military Courtesy and Discipline and Military Justice by Sgt Fredilito C Quirit (Inf) PA, and Marksmanship by C/LTC ELPETER Q TABLO 1CL

These subjects are essential in ROTC training as they develop discipline, military bearing, leadership, situational awareness, navigation skills, responsibility, and readiness for service. They equip cadets with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for military training and future community and national service.

Through continuous training, the ROTC Unit aims to develop cadets who are disciplined, capable, responsible, and committed to serving the nation.

Beyond the classroom and training ground, cadets are also reminded of the importance of teamwork, respect, and perseverance in every activity. Each formation serves as a stepping stone in shaping future leaders who embody integrity, honor, and dedication to duty.

The formation showcased the dedication and readiness of the
SJC ROTC Unit in fostering discipline, leadership, and teamwork among its cadets, preparing them for future roles in service to the nation.

On 9 August 2026, the Saint Joseph College ROTC Unit conducted a half-day Sunday formation at the SJC Extension Campus, Mambajao, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

The Sunday formation consisted of Drills and Ceremonies and lecture sessions for the Basic ROTC Cadets. The lectures covered Introduction to Intelligence and AFP Core Values. The lecture on Introduction to Intelligence was delivered by Sgt Fredelito C Quirit (Inf) PA, while AFP Core Values was discussed by Sgt Rofel Joy G Olor PA (Res).

The formation was led by the Advanced ROTC Officers, assisted by 805CDC NCOs and GMAs, under the supervision of LTC ARTURO M DUMALAGAN (INF) PA Director of 805CDC and Commandant of the SJC ROTC Unit.

This activity continued the ROTC training for the semester. The lecture sessions enhanced the cadets’ understanding of the AFP Core Values and basic intelligence concepts, while the Drills and Ceremonies strengthened their practical skills in military formations, movements, discipline, and teamwork. These activities contribute to the development of the cadets’ military knowledge, character, discipline, leadership, and sense of responsibility.

More than developing military skills, ROTC training instills values and competencies essential to becoming disciplined, responsible, and capable citizens. Through continuous training, the cadets are prepared to uphold the AFP Core Values, work effectively as a team, demonstrate leadership, and respond to their responsibilities in the service of the community and the nation. The activity therefore reflects the commitment of the SJC ROTC Unit to developing cadets who are not only physically and mentally prepared, but also guided by character, discipline, and a strong sense of duty and service.

The formation showcased the dedication and readiness of the SJC ROTC Unit in fostering discipline, leadership, and teamwork among its cadets, preparing them for future roles in service to the nation.

On 4 August 2026, the Saint Joseph College ROTC Unit Thunderbolt Brigade actively participated in the Bloodletting Activity 2026 with the inspiring theme, "One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives." The activity was held at the Liga ng mga Barangay Function Hall, Combado, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, bringing together volunteers committed to saving lives through blood donation.

Throughout the day, ROTC cadets, volunteers, and partner organizations united in this humanitarian endeavor, demonstrating compassion, discipline, and selfless service. Every successful donation became a symbol of hope, proving that a single act of kindness can make a life-changing difference for those in need.

The activity was led by the Advance ROTC Officers, assisted by Admin NCO SSg Edsil M Tabudlong (Inf) PA and GMAs, under the supervision of LTC ARTURO M DUMALAGAN (INF) PA Director of 805CDC and Commandant of the SJC ROTC Unit.

This meaningful activity reflected the ROTC Unit's unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, leadership, and community involvement—living out the true spirit of volunteerism by helping save lives, one blood donation at a time.

On 2 August 2026, the Saint Joseph College ROTC Unit conducted a half-day Sunday formation at the SJC Extension Campus, Mambajao, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

The Sunday formation consisted of Drills and Ceremonies and lecture sessions for the Basic ROTC Cadets. The lectures covered AFP Organization, Legal Bases, and Interior Guard Duty. The lecture on AFP Organization was delivered by Sgt Brader G Villarino, PA (Res), Legal Bases was discussed by Sgt Mae Ann V Dagohoy, PA (Res), and Interior Guard Duty was presented by Sgt Rofel Joy G Olor, PA (Res).

The formation was led by the Advance ROTC Officers, assisted by Admin NCO SSg Edsil M Tabudlong (Inf), PA and SSg Loberto N Bug-os (Inf) PA and the GMAs, under the supervision of LTC ARTURO M DUMALAGAN (INF), PA, Director of 805CDC and Commandant of the SJC ROTC Unit.

On 26 July 2026, the Saint Joseph College ROTC Unit conducted a half-day Sunday formation at the SJC Extension Campus, Mambajao, Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

The Sunday formation consisted of Drills and Ceremonies and lectures Military Courtesy and Discipline (MCD) and an introduction of the military subjects to the Basic ROTC Cadets. The lectures were delivered by 2LT REO S MELCHOR PA, and Sgt Rofel Joy G Olor PA (Res).

The formation was led by the Advanced ROTC Officers, assisted by Admin NCO Sgt Edsil M Tabudlong (Inf) PA and the GMAs, under the supervision of LTC ARTURO M DUMALAGAN (INF) PA, Director of 805CDC and Commandant of the SJC ROTC Unit.

This activity officially marked the start of the ROTC training for the semester.
