In pursuit of continuous academic quality and excellence, deans, program chairs, faculty members, of NORSU Mabinay Campus gathered on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, for a critical consultative meeting in preparation for the upcoming 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐀𝐀𝐂𝐔𝐏) 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧..

During the session, the 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐌𝐂) team composed of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 (assigned to the BEEd, BSEd Major in Filipino, BS Agriculture, and BSBA programs), 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥 (assigned to the BSHM, BS Computer Science, and BS Criminology programs), and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐨 led a comprehensive orientation with the academic team. The discussions focused on reviewing the summary of findings and recommendations from the previous accreditation visit to streamline the preparation of the official Compliance Report.

Additionally, the facilitators thoroughly unpacked the specific evaluation instruments required for achieving AACUP Level III status. The team provided guidance on the exact documents and Means of Verification (MOVs) needed.

The NORSU Mabinay Campus community extends its sincere gratitude to the QUAMC team, deans, program chairs, and faculty members for their dedication and collaborative efforts toward maintaining high quality assurance standards and pursuing higher academic recognition.

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 🗓️

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1457, s. 2026, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆), has been declared a 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 (𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴) 𝗱𝗮𝘆 in celebration of the Buglasan Festival. Consequently, classes in all levels and office operations are suspended on this day.

NORSU joins the community in celebrating this festive occasion and wishes everyone a safe, vibrant, and joyful Buglasan Festival. 🏙️🎊

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

𝐌𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐘, 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐒 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋— Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Mabinay Campus officially gathered its academic community for the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 held on October 3, 2026, at the NORSU Mabinay Covered Court.

Carrying the theme "𝑁𝑂𝑅𝑆𝑈: 𝐸𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑, 𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒, 𝐺𝑙𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒," the event served as a formal celebration of academic excellence and institutional commitment.

The program commenced at 9:00 AM with a Holy Mass officiated by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐂𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, followed by the formal processional and opening activities.

The convocation featured 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐀. 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, of Kabankalan Catholic College, as the guest convocation speaker. In her speech, she delivered a powerful message unpacking the event's core theme by emphasizing 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞, encouraging students to take charge of their education and reminding them that their current background does not dictate their destiny; on innovation, highlighting that innovation is a mindset a refusal to accept the status quo and urging students to become active problem-solvers across all fields rather than simply relying on a "copy-and-paste" approach; and on global competitiveness, challenging NORSUnians to strive for global standards wherever they are planted, declaring, "𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑧𝑖𝑝 𝑐𝑜𝑑𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑠. The event also highlighted the awarding of plaques of recognition and included messages of support from local government partners, including 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐓. 𝐔𝐲.
