PSAU CAS Department of English is hiring one (1) Instructor for the 1st Semester 2025-2026.

Minimum Requirement: Master's Degree in English or in related fields (or with earned units)

Interested applicants must submit the following requirements:
1. Letter of Intent addressed to the University President, Dr. Anita G. David;
2. Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS);
3. Official Transcript/s of Records (TOR/s);
4. Diploma/s;
5. Work Experience Sheet (if applicable);
6. Certificate of Employment (if applicable);
7. Certificates of Trainings and Seminars (if applicable);
8. Proof of enrollment in the graduate level (if applicable).

Kakagigil!

MENAGERIE: The Filipino word "gigil," which refers to an intense reaction to cuteness, has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). The noun and adjective joins ten other untranslatable Filipino terms in the OED's March update, including "toyo," "trapo," and "kilig."

The OED acknowledged that Philippine English has "evolved beyond the American standard," developing its own nuances to vocabulary and grammar. Among the borrowed vocabularies in the dictionary are "suki," "balikbayan box," and "salvage."
