𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱.

A total of 25 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗕𝗘 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 were successfully pinned and deployed to their respective agencies for their on-the-job training, held at the 𝗣𝗦𝗔𝗨 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘆 14, 2026. Rooted in the theme “𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗚 2026: 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲”, the ceremony emphasized responsiveness in the field as Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers answer the call for food security.

The main highlight of the event was the "𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒐𝒕", symbolizing the farmers who play a vital role in producing bountiful harvests.

This momentous occasion followed last year’s successful Salakot and Pinning Ceremony and was graced by PSAU officials, esteemed faculty, and proud parents.

𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗥. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Studies (CoECS), delivered a warm welcome address. She was followed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝘆𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗦. 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who shared inspiring words with the students prior to their deployment. Meanwhile, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗣. 𝗢𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, the well-regarded Department Chair of DABEn, underscored the importance of the event and introduced the faculty members who have been at the forefront of teaching and guiding the students. Adding to the uplifting atmosphere, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗥. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗼, who ranked 3rd in the ABELE 2026, offered words of encouragement that instilled hope in the students’ hearts and minds.

The message of gratitude and closing remarks were delivered by 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗷𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗔. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁, a fourth-year Board of Director, and 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗟. 𝗖𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮, PSABE PPG Adviser. Both imparted wisdom and inspiration to the students.

The salakot symbolizes the farmers whose hard work nurtures the land and brings forth abundant harvests. It honors those who trade their sweat and dedication for the sustenance of communities. In the pursuit of more innovative and advanced agricultural systems, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers step forward in service of agriculture and the people it supports.

Following the success of last year’s Salakot and Pinning Ceremony, this year’s theme, “SINAG 2026: Illuminating the Pathway in Agriculture Innovation through Engineering for a Humane and Blissful Future,” continues to inspire. It serves as a guiding light for ABE students as they move toward a future rooted in purpose, innovation, and service.

Dalusong defends back-to-back crown for PSABE-PPG, hailed as new King of CoECS

In pursuit of beauty and purpose, Mark Dalusong of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering was crowned Mr. PSAU – College of Engineering and Computer Studies (CoECS) 2026 alongside his queen, Charisse Reyes of the Department of Geodetic Engineering at Pampanga State Agricultural University.

Delivering a smooth and confident performance, Dalusong advanced to the Top 5 and secured multiple special awards, including Mister Fresh Look and Best in Production Number for his charismatic stage presence and energetic performance.

During the question-and-answer portion, Dalusong confidently spoke about legacy, leadership, and passion, emphasizing that a beauty pageant crown is not just a title but a responsibility to create meaningful impact in society—especially in the fields of innovation and engineering.

Meanwhile, Engr. John Andrey Susi, the Mr. CoECS 2023 reigning king from PSABE-PPG, formally passed the crown to his successor after holding the title for three years and continuing the organization’s winning legacy.

As the new CoECS king, Dalusong is set to represent the college in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. PSAU 2027.
