𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Partnership Meeting with Maejo University

Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) held a partnership meeting with Maejo University, Thailand, represented by Dr. Prakash Bhuyar, to discuss potential mobility opportunities for students and staff.

The meeting focused on strengthening academic linkages through international student and faculty exchanges, short-term mobility programs, research collaboration, and other initiatives that promote global learning and cross-cultural engagement. Both institutions explored opportunities to expand participation in international programs that will enhance academic experiences and professional development. PSAU was represented by Dr. Anita G. David, University President.

The engagement reflects PSAU's commitment to advancing internationalization and creating meaningful global opportunities for its students and personnel, in support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) achieved notable rankings across six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, highlighting the University's growing contributions to sustainable development through instruction, research, extension, and partnerships.

PSAU earned the following rankings:

• SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – Rank 401–600
• SDG 15: Life on Land – Rank 401–600
• SDG 2: Zero Hunger – Rank 401–600
• SDG 1: No Poverty – Rank 601–1000
• SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – Rank 801–1000
• SDG 4: Quality Education – Rank 1001+

Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) marked a significant milestone in its internationalization journey by securing an 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝟭–𝟭𝟱𝟬𝟬 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026 during its first-ever participation.

The recognition places PSAU among universities worldwide acknowledged for their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, research, innovation, extension, and strategic partnerships.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | PSAU Explores Mobility and Partnership Opportunities with Ifugao State University

The Office of Public Affairs and International Linkages (OPAIL) of Pampanga State Agricultural University conducted a partnership meeting and ocular visit of mobility sites with the International Affairs and Linkages Office of Ifugao State University (IFSU) on June 16–17, 2026.

The engagement focused on potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, including the development of a joint virtual cultural exchange program and the sharing of best practices in local and international student and staff mobility. The discussions also explored opportunities to strengthen institutional partnerships and enhance internationalization initiatives that promote meaningful academic and cultural exchanges.

The PSAU delegation was received by Dr. Freddie B. Caday, President of Ifugao State University, and Dr. Jennifer Madonna D. Dait, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and was hosted by Mx. Clyde B. Pumihic, International Relations Officer of IFSU.

Representing PSAU were Asst. Prof. Carlo D. De Dios, Director of OPAIL; Ms. Grace G. Viray, Head of the Information Unit; Mr. Fernan I. Camara, Head of the International Student and Staff Mobility Unit; Ms. Fatima E. Supan, Head of the Local Student and Staff Mobility Unit; Mr. John Paul S. Viray, Head of the Local Network and Linkages Unit; and Mr. Kevin Aaron M. Peralta, Head of the Global Network and Marketing Unit.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Dr. Prakash Bhuyar Presents Graduate Study Opportunities at Maejo University

Faculty members, graduate students, and members of the PSAU academic community attended an information session led by Dr. Prakash Bhuyar of Maejo University, Thailand, highlighting the master's and doctoral degree programs offered by the institution.

As part of his engagement, Dr. Bhuyar also delivered a lecture on research trends and scholarly publications for PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Master of Science in Agriculture (MSA) students, providing valuable insights into current research directions, publication strategies, and opportunities for international collaboration. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Jasmin S. Villanueva, Dean of the Graduate School, in coordination with the Office of Public Affairs and International Linkages, as part of the University's efforts to enrich the academic and research experiences of its graduate students and strengthen international academic engagement.

The session introduced academic and research opportunities available to prospective international students, fostering awareness of global pathways for advanced studies and research collaboration. 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥 | Day 1 of the 12th Commencement Exercises

Pampanga State Agricultural University successfully held the first day of its 12th Commencement Exercises under the theme “SUMLAG 2026: Rising Forward with Excellence, Rising Higher with Purpose.”

The ceremony celebrated the achievements of graduates from the Graduate School, College of Engineering and Computer Studies (COECS), and College of Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (CBEE) as they officially concluded their academic journey and prepared to embark on new opportunities beyond the University.

As they join the ranks of PSAU alumni, these graduates carry with them the knowledge, skills, and values nurtured by the University, ready to contribute meaningfully to their professions, communities, and the nation.
