The Regional Peace and Order Council - Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPOC-BARMM) held its 1st regular meeting for calendar year 2022 today at Bajau Hall, Office of the Minister, presided by its Chair, Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, via hybrid set-up in compliance to the minimum public health standard for mass gatherings.
The regular members and guests/resource persons were divided into two platforms. More than 20 of the members attended the meeting physically at Bajau Hall, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City, while others joined virtually. A total number of 40 regular members in attendance formed the quorum.
Following were the highlights of the meeting duly presented and deliberated by the body:
Peace and Security Updates, presented by WESMINCOM;
Public Order and Safety Updates, presented by PNP-PROBAR;
2022 National and Local Elections, discussed by COMELEC-BARMM;
Armed-conflict and other peace and security incidents in some areas of the region, raised by the member of the body and promptly responded by the security sector;
MILG Programs that contribute to the maintenance and promotion of Peace and Development in the region.
A resolution was approved by the body expressing the support of the council and the BARMM Government for a peaceful, orderly, and credible 2022 National and Local Elections.
