The PHCPโCollege of Criminology held its Pinning Ceremony for the Dumalasik Class of 2026, themed โDeveloping Competent and Ethical Criminology Professionals through Experiential Learning,โ on January 17, 2026, at the Dr. Roberto Tamayo Gymnasium.
The event commenced with the majestic entrance of the Dumalasik Class of 2026 as a battalion, showcasing their exceptional marching skills. Each formation was sharp and every step executed in perfect rhythmโa reflection of the discipline instilled throughout their training. This was followed by the invocation, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the Perpetual Help Hymn, uniting everyone present in a spirit of patriotism and pride for their alma mater.
The program continued with the welcome remarks delivered by School Director Dr. Rowel A. Crisostomo, CSEE. Mr. Emilio S. Peralta, RCrim, then formally introduced the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Mr. Marcial S. Mendoza, Assistant Regional Director of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Capital Region (NCR).
In his moral address, Mr. Mendoza emphasized that the ceremony was not only a celebration for the students but also for the proud parents who believed in and supported them throughout their journey. He reminded the students of their vital role in nation-building, stating, โKayo ang pag-asa ng mas ligtas, mas makatarungan, at mas maayos na bansa.โ His words ignited the hearts of future law enforcers, inspiring them to pursue their calling with purpose and integrity.
The program proceeded with the presentation of the Plaque of Appreciation by Drill Instructor Mr. Harvey Luis Espinoza of the Dumalasik Class, followed by the Entrance of Colors led by the Royal Guard Corps. The Dumalasik Class of 2026 then performed the Diamond Formation, a powerful display of their remarkable discipline and unity.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Donning of Shoulder Boards and the Pinning of Nameplatesโa meaningful moment where parents personally placed these symbols of new beginnings on their children. With pride in their eyes, they pinned on more than just insignia; they bestowed their trust, unwavering support, and hopes for the future.
As the Dumalasik Class of 2026 marches forward toward becoming disciplined, competent, and ethical law enforcers, they carry with them the honor of their rigorous training and the aspirations of their families.
