Research Breakthrough Celebrated!

The BukSU-MA Sociology program proudly celebrates Troy John E. Tero's OUTSTANDING defense of his stage two research: "Social Support Networks Among Persons Living with HIV and Its Implications on Well-being" on March 19, 2025, at the University Library Viewing Room.

His insightful work impressed the distinguished panel, which included Dr. Marichu B. Montecillo, Dr. Rotchel L. Amigo, and Loreta Sol Dinlayan, head of BukSU Bukidnon Studies Center.

This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the BukSU-MA Sociology program's dedication to developing scholars who produce meaningful research addressing critical social issues while perfectly aligning with our program's research agenda. Troy John E. Tero’s innovative approach and rigorous methodology have opened new pathways for understanding how social support systems fundamentally impact the well-being of vulnerable communities.

Join us in celebrating this milestone that deepens sociological insight and reflects our program’s dedication to research that drives positive social change.
