OUTSTANDING RECOGNITION | SUPREME STUDENT COUNCIL (S.Y. 2025–2026)

Excellence in leadership and commitment to service once again take center stage as the Supreme Student Council (SSC) for the School Year 2025–2026 proudly received two Special Awards during the Recognition Ceremony held last April 30, 2026, at the SMRM Gymnasium.

The SSC was honored with the Special Award for On-Time Submission of Activity Proposal and the Special Award for On-Time Submission of Semestral Report, a testament to the council’s dedication to responsibility, organization, and professionalism in fulfilling its duties.

These recognitions reflect more than just punctuality, they highlight the SSC’s strong sense of accountability, effective teamwork, and commitment to upholding standards of excellence in student governance. Behind every timely submission is a group of student leaders who work diligently, plan efficiently, and prioritize delivering quality service to the student body.

This achievement serves as an inspiration to all student organizations to remain consistent, reliable, and committed in every task entrusted to them. Indeed, leadership is not only about leading people, but also about managing responsibilities with integrity and discipline.

Congratulations to the Supreme Student Council! May you continue to lead with purpose, serve with excellence, and inspire others through your dedication.

TURNOVER CEREMONY | A Legacy Continued

A meaningful moment of transition took place last April 30, 2026, at the SMRM Gymnasium, as the Supreme Student Council marked the official turnover of leadership. This ceremony honored the dedication and service of the outgoing SSC President, Kryl Hope O. Alfeche, while warmly welcoming the newly elected SSC President, Chrysell Maryl H. Gilwa, who now takes on the responsibility of
leading the student body.

With gratitude and pride, we recognize the remarkable leadership of President Kryl Alfeche, whose term was marked by commitment, resilience, and a genuine passion for serving the students. His journey stands as a testament to what it means to lead with purpose and integrity.

As the torch is passed, we place our trust in President Chrysell, whose vision, dedication, and enthusiasm signal a promising future for student leadership. The symbolic turnover of key responsibilities reflects not only a change in leadership but also the continuity of service, excellence, and commitment to the student community.

This moment reminds us that leadership is a shared journey, built on the foundations laid by those who came before and carried forward by those who are ready to serve.

Thank you, President Kryl, for your service. Congratulations, President Chrysell! The future of student leadership continues to shine bright.

RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATION RECOGNITION AND AWARDS

A moment of pride and celebration unfolded last April 30, 2026, at the SMRM Gymnasium, as we honored the outstanding achievements of our recognized student organizations during the Recognition and Awards Ceremony.

This segment highlighted the dedication, passion, and hard work of student leaders and members who continuously strive to create meaningful programs, impactful initiatives, and positive change within the campus and beyond. Through their efforts, these organizations have strengthened student governance, promoted active participation, and embodied the true spirit of service.

Awards such as the Leadership Award, Service Award, and Special Awards were given to organizations that exemplified excellence in leadership, commitment to community engagement, and innovation in their projects and activities. Each recognition served as a testament to the perseverance and collaboration of every member behind these successful endeavors.

More than the awards themselves, this celebration recognized the stories of growth, teamwork, and purpose that define every organization. It reminded us that true leadership is not measured by titles, but by the impact we create in the lives of others.

Congratulations to all our recognized student organizations! May you continue to inspire, lead with integrity, and serve with heart.

KAPIHAN WITH STUDENT LEADERS | Voices, Insights, and Shared Purpose

Last April 30, 2026, at the SMRM Gymnasium, student leaders gathered for a meaningful Kapihan session centered on the theme “Drawing New Maps of Hope: Strengthening Student Governance, Community Engagement, and Global Citizenship.”

The discussion opened with “Silab sa Paglaom (The Spark of Hope)”, where student leaders shared their key insights and learning takeaways from the 2nd Northern Mindanao Regional Student Leaders’ Congress. Topics highlighted included:

Witness to Advocate – emphasizing the vital role of student leadership in addressing grassroots mental health realities;

Student Governance in Action – focusing on transforming student voices into concrete policies;

Leading Beyond Borders – encouraging student leaders to champion sustainable development and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

This was followed by “Hinabi (The Dialogue)”, an open forum and panel discussion where participants reflected on how they can apply these learnings within their respective organizations. Conversations evolved around shaping their own “New Map of Hope” and exploring ways to move from simple community service to meaningful and lasting community engagement.

The session concluded with “Paghugpong (The Synthesis)”, where leaders proposed concrete projects and policy initiatives inspired by their congress experience, outlining beneficiaries, action steps, and timelines that aim to create real impact in the academic year ahead.

More than just a discussion, the Kapihan became a platform for empowerment, proving that when student leaders come together to share ideas and experiences, they ignite change and build a stronger, more responsive community.
