"To commemorate its 66th anniversary, Slim’s Fashion & Arts School, an institution of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), is set to open its new campus in Manila in October 2026.

"The three-floor structure, currently in its final completion stage, will be named Ceci Hall to honor the late Brother Cecilio “Ceci” Hojilla FSC. Hojilla was a campus minister, mentor and storyteller fondly remembered for his profound influence on the Lasallian formation, student life and the spiritual development of the Benildean community."

TO commemorate its 60th anniversary, Slim’s Fashion & Arts School, an institution of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), is set to open its new campus in Manila in October 2026.

IN FOCUS: Benilde Architecture Faculty Member Ar. Jim Caumeron / Jim Cameron Design earned the 2026 Golden Pin Design Mark (Taiwan) for EXALT, an 88-square-meter mausoleum built in Metro Manila.

Recognized under the Spatial Design category, EXALT moves forward to compete for Best Design of the Year.

The 金點設計獎 Golden Pin Design Award is one of Asia’s most influential design awards since its establishment in 1981. This year includes entries from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Poland, India, South Korea, Italy, Malaysia, Türkiye, the United States, and the Philippines.

The awards ceremony is slated on November 11, 2026.

Congratulations to Serinna Panilag and Mathea Mansibang, Benilde Multimedia Arts students who took home GOLD at the Young Kidlat Student Competition 2026 for their work, “Bear’s Second Mission.

The Kidlat Awards is a premier creative advertising competition in the Philippines organized by the 4As Philippines and the Creative Guild of the Philippines to recognize outstanding brand storytelling and innovative campaigns.

This year's edition was held last September 4 at the PNB Grand Atrium in Pasay City with the theme, "Unprompted_" to champion raw human intuition and original thought.

EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHTS: Wabi-Sabi and Nature x Nurture

16 to 28 August 2026 — Held at Nami Art Gallery in Katipunan, Quezon City, Wabi-Sabi showcased works of student artists from Artelier Benilde alongside established guest artists. Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of embracing life’s natural cycles, the show highlights beauty and authenticity in imperfection.

Nature x Nurture, on the other hand, was a companion solo exhibition showcasing new works by Benilde BFA Culture-Based Arts Faculty Mentor Abe Orobia, presented concurrently in the gallery space.
