Tomorrow, library leaders and information professionals of the ASEAN University Network will gather at De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, for the 21st AUNILO Business Meeting and Workshop.

This year, we are diving deep into the theme: “The Future is Plural: Shaping and Designing the Future of ASEAN Libraries.”

As technology, community needs, and information landscapes evolve, ASEAN libraries are no longer just repositories of knowledge—we are dynamic architects of the future. Over the next three days (May 19–21), the Libraries of ASEAN University Network (AUNILO) community will collaborate, engage, exchange insights, and shape the future of libraries toward a more inclusive, interconnected, and resilient library ecosystem.

We are excited to welcome our fellow ASEAN delegates to Manila. Let’s shape and design the future, together. 🌐📚

Congratulations to Ateneo de Manila University’s Rizal Library for winning the first-ever AUNILO video competition!

Here’s what the judges from the SMU Libraries, this year’s host, had to say...

This year we did something extra, something different for the AUNILO Meeting 2022. We asked members to submit a short video of their library, which had to be less than 3 minutes for a video competition.

We were looking for videos that took a creative and innovative approach to promoting their libraries. We had 6 submissions and they were shown during the AUNILO webinar on 5 July. Based on our criteria, the winner is the Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU).

The submission from Rizal Library took a different approach to promote the library. They invited an ADMU graduate to introduce the collections and spaces she used. She talked about the relevance of the collections to her, her memories of using the library spaces, and it was done in an engaging way.

Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University (ADM) submitted this video for the AUNILO 2022 video competition. It was the winner of the competition for the creative approach to use an alumni to introduce the Rizal Library. Ms Gretchen Ho introduced the collections and spaces she used. She talked about...
