Adhering to the announcement of Manila Public Information Office, UP Manila face-to-face classes are suspended on September 26-27, 2025.

This is in preparation for the expected impact of Severe Tropical Storm Opong, which weather forecasters warn would bring heavy rainfall, possible flooding, and strong winds in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces.

Alternative learning delivery (asynchronous or online classes) shall be implemented to continue learning despite the suspension.

Gaganapin ang welcome ceremony ng first year students sa Henry Sy Sr. Medical Sciences Bldg., Sports Science and Wellness Center, at NTTCHP Auditorium, 9 AM hanggang 11 AM. I-scan ang QR code sa ibaba upang makapag-rehistro.

Pinaaalalahanan ang lahat na magtungo sa kani-kaniyang itinalagang venue (magbubukas ang mga ito sa ganap na alas-8 ng umaga).

Mangyaring magsuot ang mga dadalo ng komportableng smart casual attire.

Para naman sa mga dadalo sa SSWC, ang heels at pointed shoes ay ipinagbabawal.

[Advisory] 22 July 2025 | Commencement Continues Despite Suspension of Work and Classes

Following Malacañang’s directive, work and classes in the University of the Philippines Manila are suspended on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.

However, please be informed that the 116th Commencement Exercises of UP Manila will proceed as scheduled at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. As of this writing, the venue premises is flood-free and surrounding roads remain passable.

For those attending the Commencement Exercises:

The lobby will be open early for those who wish to arrive in advance in the morning. You may bring and consume your own food while waiting for the assembly to begin.

Students are advised to immediately locate their assigned marshals upon arrival for proper coordination.

Parents and guests will be allowed entry into the Hall as early as 8AM. Kindly follow the guidance of our ushers and security personnel at all times to help ensure the smooth and orderly flow.

As inclement weather may persist, we urge all attendees to exercise caution and sound judgment when deciding to travel. Please assess any personal or companion-related risks and prioritize safety at all times.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to ensure a safe and meaningful commencement celebration for the Class of 2025.

TO: CN STUDENTS WITH CLINICAL ROTATIONS

In addition to the Annual Physical-Medical Examinations on May 19 (Monday) to May 23 (Friday), please be guided by the new HICU Clearance Process.

Make sure that you have your clearance on the above mentioned dates. You have two options to be cleared: either face-to-face at the Health Service (May 19-23, cut off by 2 PM) or online validation via [email protected] (May 19-23, cut off by 11 AM).
