A pioneering scientist, educator, mentor, researcher, and institution-builder, Acd. Sevilla has devoted his life to advancing chemistry in the Philippines. Through decades of leadership, scholarship, and service, he has helped shape the profession, strengthen the chemistry community, and inspire generations of Filipino chemists.
Widely regarded as an icon in Philippine chemistry and a living legend in the field, his legacy extends far beyond his scientific achievements. It lives on through the countless students, researchers, educators, and professionals whose lives and careers he has touched.
This recognition is a fitting tribute to a lifetime dedicated to excellence, service, and the advancement of chemistry for the nation.
