The TUP SMERS is a Multimedia and University-wide Campus-based Student Organization at TUP-Manila

The TUP SMERS (Students’ Multimedia Event Reporters Society) is a campus based student organization aiming to involve the students in any school event, interview and documenting any school activities with permission of the school authorities. Additionally this student organization will enhance their communication skills in terms of reporting, interviewing and acting skills for making short film do

cumentaries, and develop their skills for creating video documentation in every school activities. This will also serve as school film production and documentaries with permission and guidance of the university authorities.

𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | September 9, 2026 🌧️

TUP Manila has shifted to Remote Asynchronous Learning (RAL) today, September 9, following the order of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno for public and private schools to implement an Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) due to the continuous bad weather and flooding in some parts of Manila. The shift to RAL was also in accordance with the instruction of Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ryan Reyes.

Due to the late suspension of classes and the ongoing bad weather, TUPians who are still inside the campus are advised to remain alert and prioritize their safety. Avoid flooded areas when possible, stay updated through official announcements, and take extra precautions before traveling home.

Ngayong Agosto 31, 2026, hindi lamang tayo nagdiriwang, kundi nagbibigay-pugay at ginugunita ang tapang, sakripisyo, at walang sawang paglilingkod ng mga bayaning humubog sa ating bansa at nagbigay-daan sa kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Nawa’y patuloy na magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanilang mga iniwang halimbawa upang tayo rin ay mamuhay nang may layunin, manindigan para sa ating mga karapatan, makibahagi sa pag-unlad ng ating bayan, at maging handang tumulong sa isa’t isa.

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗞 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗘 | 𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗬𝗔 🎓🎬

The Students' Multimedia Event Reporters Society (SMERS) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Gradhawks: TUP Manila Graduation Committee for entrusting us with the opportunity to create “SIDHAYA,” a short film prepared for the Batch Sidhaya Graduation 2026.

This project became more than just a film. It became a way for us to capture the memories, struggles, friendships, and dreams that shaped the students’ college journey. Through every scene, frame, and story, we aimed to portray the experiences that made this journey meaningful and remind everyone that behind every graduating student is a story worth remembering.

We are truly grateful for the trust given to SMERS and for allowing us to be part of such a significant milestone. To the Gradhawks: TUP Manila Graduation Committee, thank you for believing in our creativity and allowing us to tell a story that celebrates the journey toward graduation.

SIDHAYA is a story of where we began, what we endured, and how far we have come.
