Lila, Bohol โ The Board of Trustees and staff of the Central Mindanao University Alumni Association, Incorporated (CMUAAI), together with staff from the CMU Office of Alumni Relations and Linkages (OARL), graced the CMUAAI Bohol Chapter's 1st Meet and Greet Thanksgiving Gathering held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Cely's Painitan and Pasalubong Center, Nagsulay, Lila, Bohol.
Carrying the theme "Rewind, Relive, Reconnect," the gathering brought together CMU alumni based in Bohol for a day of fellowship, reminiscing, and renewed commitment to their alma mater.
Programme Highlights
The day began with registration and fellowship. Alumni then enjoyed snacks and informal gathering.
Part I โ Balik Tan-aw opened the formal proceedings with a Statement of Purpose delivered by CMUAAI President Federico E. Acuรฑa, followed by the introduction of officers. Alumni were then recognized by batch, spanning the decades from 1960โ1970 through 2021โ2026, honoring generations of CMU graduates now residing in Bohol. The segment closed with a presentation of CMUAAI's history and updates from the CMUAAI Board of Trustees.
Part II โ Panaghiusa featured the singing of "We're all together again", a quick one-minute introduction activity where alumni introduced themselves and shared their personal reflections through "My CMU Journey."
A lunch break followed from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Part III โ Panag-uban continued with more sharing of "My CMU Journey" and presentations by batch, and a business meeting that included a proposal for a CMUAAI Grand Reunion and the announcement of upcoming schedules.
The event closed with the singing of "CMU Hymn," a pictorial session, and an afternoon of singing that capped the day's festivities. Eric Jhon Auguis of BISU (a CMU alumnus) served as Master of Ceremony for the gathering.
The Bohol Chapter's first Meet and Greet stood as a testament to the continuing bond among CMU alumni across generations, reaffirming the association's mission to keep CMU graduates connected wherever they may be. The presence of the CMUAAI Board of Trustees and OARL staff underscored the university's commitment to nurturing strong ties with its alumni community nationwide.
