The 2nd Company, 1CMO Bn, CMOR, PA, led by 𝗦𝗦𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿 (𝗜𝗻𝗳) 𝗣𝗔, Public Affairs Operator, conducted an orientation for the MSU ROTC cadets on November 16, 2025, as part of the official opening of their recruitment for the Philippine Army. The orientation aimed to encourage cadets to explore the possibilities of joining the Army and serving the nation.

During the orientation, they discussed various opportunities available to aspiring soldiers, including stable career paths, skills training, and other benefits that support both personal and professional growth. They also emphasized the values of discipline, service, and patriotism that guide every member of the Philippine Army.

The activities on November 16, 2025, began with an in-depth lesson on Followership at the MSU Gymnasium, held from 0700H to 0900H under the lecture of 𝗦𝗴𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗔 (𝗥𝗲𝘀) where cadets were guided to understand the essential purpose of following and its role in building order, trust, and responsible citizenship. The discussion emphasized that followership starts at home, where respect and obedience form the foundation of discipline; continues in school, where students follow instructions as part of their contribution to nation-building; and extends into the workplace, where individuals begin at the bottom and grow through humility, initiative, and commitment. The session also highlighted the Ten Rules of Good Followership, including avoiding unnecessary conflict with leaders, taking initiative, accepting responsibility, being truthful, preparing thoroughly, offering constructive suggestions, and keeping leaders informed, among other guiding principles.

After the classroom session, cadets proceeded to the MSU-Main Sports Complex Grandstand and Oval for the 11th Regular Sunday Formation, held from 0900H to 1100H under the supervision of 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗢 𝗜𝗡𝗙 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔. With 𝗦𝗴𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗠 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴 (𝗜𝗻𝗳) 𝗣𝗔 leading the officers and training staff, the formation demonstrated the Unit’s continued commitment to discipline and coordination.

Cadets commenced the formation with a set of intensive physical exercises that challenged their strength, endurance, and overall stamina. These routines not only enhanced physical conditioning but also strengthened the mental toughness essential for aspiring future reservists. Officers closely monitored each activity, upholding order and guaranteeing active and responsible participation from all cadets.

In accordance with RA 11369, MSU BOR Resolution No. 218, s. 2025, FEMSUSSCO Resolution No. 105, s. 2025, and Memorandum Order No. 2025-012-OSR, the MSU System formally commemorates International Students’ Day - a day that honors the bravery, struggles, and enduring contributions of students in advancing freedom, education, and human rights.

All MSUans are encouraged to wear white as a silent protest against the large-scale corruption in the government. More than 100 days have passed, yet no one has been held accountable.

Amidst the pouring rain on October 26, 2025, the Mindanao State University ROTC Unit, together with the MSU-Main Campus Junior Eagle’s Club and The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc., led a campus-wide clean-up drive that showcased the spirit of service, discipline, and environmental responsibility.

The activity covered several areas of the university, including Barrio Salam, the Annex, and other surrounding parts of the MSU Main Campus. Despite the challenging weather conditions, ROTC cadets and volunteers demonstrated resilience and teamwork as they worked hand in hand to maintain cleanliness across the campus.

Held under the theme "𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸, 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗨𝗽, 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲," the initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and a culture of responsibility among students and citizens. The campaign underscored how even small acts of care, such as proper waste disposal, can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

The participation of the MSU ROTC Unit highlighted the organization’s commitment to community service beyond military training. It reflected the unit’s core values of leadership, discipline, and social responsibility — embodying the principle that true service goes beyond uniformed duty.

This joint effort stands as an inspiring reminder that environmental care is a shared responsibility. Through unity and compassion, the ROTC Unit and its partner organizations demonstrated that collective action, even under the rain, can create a meaningful impact on the university and the community.

The Mindanao State University–Main Campus ROTC Unit successfully held a lecture on Military Courtesy and Discipline at the MSU Dimaporo Gymnasium followed by its 10th Regular Sunday Formation at the MSU Sports Complex Grandstand and Oval.

The lecture was conducted from 0700H to 1000H, spearheaded by 𝗦𝗴𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗔 (𝗥𝗲𝘀), who discussed key aspects of military discipline, including its importance, measurement, and practical application both in personal development and within the community. He emphasized that discipline is not only a military value but also a vital element of responsible citizenship and student life, shaping one’s sense of integrity and accountability.

Following the lecture, all cadets proceeded to the MSU Grandstand Oval for their 10th Regular Formation held from 1000H to 1100H. The formation aimed to reinforce military bearing, teamwork, and the principles of courtesy and respect instilled during the earlier lecture.

The Sunday formation was supervised by 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗢 𝗜𝗡𝗙 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, with the support of ROTC Unit Officers and Training Staff led by 𝗦𝗴𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗠 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴 (𝗜𝗡𝗙) 𝗣𝗔, ensuring the smooth conduct and successful ex*****on of the training activities.

In commemoration of the 8th Anniversary of the Marawi City Liberation, willing cadets from the Mindanao State University–Main Campus ROTC Unit participated in the 3-Day Blood Donation Drive held on October 20–22, 2025, at the Marawi City Convention Center, Ground Zero.

With the theme “𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝟴: 𝗦𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗮𝗻,” the event honored the courage and unity of the people of Marawi by promoting volunteerism and compassion through blood donation.

The ROTC cadets wholeheartedly donated their blood to help those in need, showing the true essence of service beyond uniform.

Through this meaningful initiative, the MSU–Main ROTC Unit continues to uphold the values of discipline, selflessness, and community service, reflecting the spirit of resilience and solidarity that defines the Marawi Liberation.
